Premium Member Ambivalence Part II

But Freud could not vouch
For one lying on his couch
It’s God, our mind’s He unlocks
To wrestle with this paradox
This ambivalence
For the world fixes stints
For lungs that need air
For a heart needs repair
This is what we’re left with
No life, just a death kiss
At atheistic insistence
And with ambivalent resistance
There’s prejudicial conjecture
There’s personal conjecture
But no absolute or objective truth
You don’t need to be a sleuth
With subjectivity solicited
Two intellectual sins committed
Arbitrariness and inconsistency
Condition critical insistency
Circumspectly we point this out
Without a doubt, we don’t flout
Compare two worldviews
(as atheist’s hit the snooze)
We share the Gospel with the hostel
With no subterfuge or solipsism
No false religion’s systems or schisms
The 2nd Coming will be the loudest day
The trumpet sounds, the saintly strain
Will w/Jesus comeback with no foray
The final stop for the Gospel train

There once was a mind in despair
That judged the world harsh and unfair
Through trauma and grief
It rejected belief
Yet still cried for justice and care

If feelings alone lead the way
(They shift with the night and the day)
So whose mind should decide
What is wrong, what’s right
When emotions can darken or sway?

To measure the good and the true
A Standard must stand over you
Not anger’s demand
Nor a wavering hand
But a Judge who is righteous all through

Some say God’s a wish of the brain
A child’s projectionism, lain
But Freud could not see
Every soul that would be
So his claim is arbitrarily plain

The proof then is pressed in reply
Deny Him and reason runs dry
For worldviews opposed
Leave foundations exposed
And collapse when their claims reach the sky

Resolution:
This one faith puts Jehovah on high
(So cling to Him while He is nigh)
And Its book makes a claim
That without Him, disdain
With an ambivalent heavy sigh

Ambivalence

Her words and actions are conflicting
inconsistencies and quirky thoughts
going through the motions
and playing your part
aa man can get tired of the samethang
wondering what spell you're in
wondering if things might change
creating distance guess you're not
commitment minded but you wish to
think you are
you express interest in me
only to have your way
undermining my sincerity
or maybe it's me
it could be
identifying myself as
yours
maybe it's me
that's a possibility
people like to make you
believe everything
about you is wrong
you should never convince someone to
make time for you

From S[lit D Ring

She acts weird so that if you talk about
the person she allows you to know
is completly different
then the pperson she is.....
I losted the reed to my oboe
and was upset. She used the condition
of my emotional state
to create a situation.

Is it past tramua effecting us
or mix signaling.

Ambivalence

In love's dance of ambivalence we sway,
A pendulum of feelings, night and day.
Torn between passion's fire and doubt's haze,
We navigate the maze of love's strange ways.

One moment, hearts aligned in perfect sync,
The next, emotions tremble on the brink.
Uncertainty's grip, a tempest's embrace,
Impacts our bonds with intricate embrace.

Yet ambivalence, though it clouds our view,
Can foster depth, as hearts learn to renew.
For through the storm, connections can grow,
And in ambivalence, true love may show.

What a beautiful cup of coffee
I needed it so damn bad
Boy it hit the spot
but didn’t stop the crave I had

Now I want another one
even more than the first
I’m a petty man alas,
with ambivalence I burst

If I give in to my desire
the price could be greater
I’m a petty man indeed
and may well pay for it later

Bottoms up!

Not as good as the first
to hell with these bad calls
now I’m all on edge
and climbing up the walls

But I’ve learnt a valuable lesson
from this hole I dug
In future skip the cup
go for one big bastard mug!

AMBIVALENCE
free from convention
       a special destiny
    defining change
singular
          accentuating
       distortions
so visible
yet
     continuous
clear
authentic
discernible
     inscribed
          elaborated
irresistibly
   structured
comparatively
relaxed in  transition

THIS IS AN OPEN(organic) FORM VERSE without grammatical symbols the ' open' relies upon 'the one breath limitation' & so inherently requires the 'reader' (reciter) to input and respond thus making the form a two way interplay and often a unique interpretation by the enigma so derived

Ambivalence,
razor thin patience;
What are you waiting for?

Two Sides To Everything

When autumn comes
is winter far away?
Every silver lining
has a cloud.
This is the best of all possible worlds.
So says the optimist,
so says the pessimist too.

Cool Rocks and Crashing Crescendos

You were cool rocks but I was a hot wave of crescendos

A reckless drunk driver t-boned her son's vehicle
killing him instantly, and her anger is understandable.
She's wondering "Should I forgive, or is it too soon?"

Juxtaposition

Ambivalence
Apparently vague
Contradicting, contrasting, confusing
Embedded rhetorical ambiguity
Alluring, enigmatic puzzle
Irony

Ambivalence

Any action that comes to mind
     May be unambiguously defined.
But being uncertain of the intention planned,
Indecision will promptly show its hand.
Very soon the action will be declined.
Ambivalence is the way to go
Lest any preference should start to show.
Each idea in conflict with those past
Never was determined to be the last.
Conclusively, therefore, I have to say
     Equivocation is here to stay.

Seasons of Sanity

Affect my a$$.
It is ever thus.
Each season percolates
Distinct chemical essences from the
Cauldron of consciousness
Sloshing edge to edge in my brain pan.

Normalcy.
No one knows what that elusive
Formula could be.
Perceptions are refracted
A thousand times over
Within the smoke filled
Fun house of our existence.

Synthesis.
Earth’s seasons typify
But do not define
The kaleidoscope colors;
Moods and perceptions
Transform, intensify-
Lavenders to lightning blue,
Browns to lightening limes,
Maroons to neon ruby reds.
Thrashed strings of a guitar,
Spectrums of ambivalent
Harmonies theme my days.

Seasons of Sanity.
Anyone claiming to know
The weather of sanity’s seasons
Is to be avoided.

Ambivalence

How long obstinate truth will surprise you?
The moment like slippery things
Mixed emotions breath poison
The blue sky in the plain...

Hanging decision uncertainly attacks
Snake of blood that crawls the heart.
To put punctuation mark
In the uncaught wishes
Dust gathers towards Happy-go-line.

Millions of voices alarm self-image.
What's the use of grey documents then?
