A SUN ALTERING DAY
Cool morning rain fell,
Hot rising sun rose…yelling…:
“Hell…it's summer time…”
Later in the day,
It became as hot as Hell
Down here on the Earth:-
Today is the day
Twenty-nine years to the day
Life changed forever
Hurling himself at his work
passion-surpassing mission
Setting aside sleep for nights on end
fire growing with every line penned
His epic assuming its desired shape
altering the literary landscape ~
When one troubled eve, his ardor on leave
he pitched forward – eternity grieved

"Chickens will do." And a pause
"For another yard of georgette linens too."
And every capped reasons opened at last,
as a stair, for a stare, to ask about the rear,
"What about the full cotton fabrics or Chinese poplin?"
And impeccable time smiled on me, " Rather, this should be bobbling, that is inevitable."
"Ed good, this is still an issue room for mending.
Are you in?"
"Precisely! Exactly for what?" I heard.
"Is it the hall room? Or the ballroom?" I asked.
"It seemed a courtroom though." I heard my question answered, seemingly, in a bit startled voice.
"Nope. It is not a room, It is a table salt, tied to a prayer, that gifts the container, the neon, and the utility, and God willing, the next day we are expected to find the room." After a while, the assurance delivered.
"Though shawl thee!" I intervened.
"let's go home! Shall we?"
The time has come to face the facts.
Let's stop getting ourselves off track.
Doctors push the drug that helps them the most.
While it makes us feel like a ghost.
We know that we sometimes feel a little off.
Let's hope we do not get knocked off.
Some of the drugs that they do give us.
They only seem to hide us.
Mind altering is what the doctors will not say.
Because they do not want to scare us away.
Drugs of the mind alerting kind have no hope.
It might as well be legal dope.
“Precious in the sight of the Lord
Is the death of His saints”*,
What a reassuring record!
Such comfort this verse paints!
“So teach us to number our days,
That our hearts may be wise”**,
Help us, Lord to set right our ways
In your all-seeing eyes!

The wrath that they have for me and
The envy they have for my dreams,
Man so much emotions they hating but
For fish: i walk on water,
For the hill: i climb my way to the top,
Rubber girls and metal men!
Im a wooden boy from deep in forests
An outcast so i was Raised by wolves:
I sold hell to angels and Heaven to demons,
The leftovers i gave to mortals
Deep in the black market:
Giving out knowledge;
Watching out for the feds
I don't wanna go to jail,
But for what i believe in
They can lock up me for a thousand years.
Hanging in the corners
Those pyramids for G's
G be Genius- Geniuses be the greatest,
Looking for formulas to conduct my new experiments:
Point of interest be dull in appearance
That's the difference
between the top and the bottom,
What's above is not below:
that's just the law of oneness so i'm not duplicating,
One be all- all be the mass
Mass be the people- the people be the masses.
Escalating, moving forward
Rushes and blame me inches
Damn be ruin my phase,
That's more calculating
Aeons to the modern day:
In the 1000th day i shall rule-
Giving code of ethics to individuals
So they too can enjoy the feast.
Reminiscing mind
Figuring out vivid mode
Choose probable opt
Make choices at once
Altering past experience
Changes come amidst
Go free and detach
Vain still exists within thoughts
Create brighter ends.
Want to excite you inside out
By the time you realize
you're turned on, you'll
already be turned out.
Slide my finger
down your mind's centerline,
then zigzag between
creativity and impossibility
making your excitement
unbearable to even think
Your reaction is starting
to peak. Touching you
so well, it almost feels
terrible cause you want to be
touched with more x's and o's
you need a play by play.
I came to make you whole
without falsifying reasons.
Like Levert I have a love
for all seasons.
Next to, on top of,
inches away or locked
away in memories
I want you thinkin of me
Your dream state lover
giving you the coordinates
to unbelievable destinations.
Set sail with me
as we journey towards
a place only words
can put in view.
I want to have a psychedelic
climax from touching you.
Her eyes shut down,
Her life had been stolen, sleeping on a summer day,
Deeply, she’d snored in relief,
“She found the light”
The one she always searched for
Because the world is dark,
But her spirit can light up a town.
My mom met heaven,
Heaven approved,
And God introduced her to it.
I just didn’t think that God had to put her to bed,
For a whole month and a half,
Because we missed her,
We thought
We’d lost her.
But
You only borrowed her,
She has returned.
You made a life altering decision
That changed your life.
A choice that left mine empty,
I hated you for
taking my son away
with one bullet…
I hated you for pulling the
trigger that day
I wished you were dead too…
I wanted you to
feel my pain,
to experience my heartache
I never thought,
I would ever forgive you
until that day,
I realized that the anger
that made you pull the trigger
are consuming me,
drowning me…
The love that I had for my son
almost completely gone
wasted energy and time,
time that would not bring my son back
neither would the denial
that you needed my forgiveness,
in the end your sin
would not be a continued cycle…
My life might have changed forever that day
but I also learned the divine gift,
forgiving someone can bring about...
Even if it took me years to embrace.
*loosely based on a true story of a SA mother who forgave her son's killer.. The story was highlighted on Reconciliation Day*

Like a warm summer’s day
her infectious smile
can melt even the most cynical heart,
Like the boisterous south easterly
that clears away the city’s fog
her mood sways from jubilant to poignant,
Like a thunderous night
that holds the promise of a beautiful day to follow
her anger melts like a glacier to form crystal streams,
Like the Indian monsoon
her tears flow without warning
drenching all thoughts,
Like the autumn leaves fall
so does her reticence
Like the icy Icelandic tundra
her aloofness
can be felt when she is betrayed…
Like a full moon promises change
so does her demeanor
when it comes to love,
Easily hurt
but just as easily loved…

This makes me laugh, you really do
You think I care so much about you
Ok, I care, but not like the rest
I'm not in awe and your not my best
At first I was, I won't deny it
But i wasn't myself, not one bit
You and your girls, they swoon and fall
They'll always be one to text or call
I try my best, still i can't help but smirk
When you talk about them to me like dirt
I laugh as i think how i could be yours
The friends i'd loose, the line of closed doors
I'll give on thing, you do talk real kind
But little of it actually goes into my mind
Overall i just want you to know
It's probably best if i just go
The thin barrier breaks,
And you're now bathed in cold, dreadful liquid.
The shock doesn't hit right away.
When it does,
You realize you're screwed.
Your life is now altered.
Your friends are about to bombard you with more water balloons.
They just found your hiding spot behind your father's truck.
