hit hard by divorce it felt like a fatal crash
no hope future nor happy ending in sight
the airbag had failed and the brakes had not worked
the tank felt empty tax expired any insurance foreclosed
it took reflection grief and sadness to resolve the calamity
and eventually rationalisation made way for feeling emotions
in a humble friendly compassionate fashion of self-loving care
he had survived and felt no longer the victim
so he could not afford to whip himself any longer
self-harm was not the solution for future and healing
and suddenly he looked at the sun in a very new light

You never ignore yourself.
You....a finger pointing nowhere.
You flap; make waves,
what else you got?
A flashy kite with no sky
that's what.
If a vulture and a jellyfish
gave birth to an offspring,
they would name it: Ego.
A monstrously beautiful blob was told
what it was and was not,
the term, 'monstrous blob,'
was, of course, never mentioned.
Identity rose up like a hissing cobra,
the blob believed what it was told.
First thoughts set like concrete.
Ego always thinks that everyone is against him,
even when they are applauding him,
it was always nothing more than an airbag,
that could be easily inflated or deflated.
Great and talented egos arose:
Gehgis Khan, Aristotle, Starlin, Copernicus
Mozart, Julius Caesar, and, of course, you -
all sprung from that parent trap.
The good the bad, the oppressed
and victors, all the winged jellyfish
floating through time
and most everyone
never once ignoring themselves -
not for one moment.
Fly away eagle, swim away jellyfish,
heaven and hell were always inside us,
and we never guessing,
that we were this monstrously beautiful
bag of wind always likely to burst,
if one day
we got lucky.
Here is just a little clue,
Look inside the words I write,
Other words hide in there, too,
When packed in tight, they unite.
Scapegoat is the first one,
I don’t think a goat’s aware,
Escaping from this poem,
That his pelt might need repair.
Afterthought is complex too,
A thought that comes thereafter,
After all the work is through,
Thought-too-late distractor.
Airbag? Are you serious?
Air, of course, you cannot see,
Plastic bags are hazardous.
That just makes no sense to me.
Doughnuts are my favorite treat,
It’s true nutlets grow on trees,
Bakery goods are oh so sweet,
But I’m out of dough, you see.

Turbocharged you refuse to stop at the sentry
Full speed ahead on the racetrack of manipulation
Safety belt suspending the breaks in free flight
Airbag punctured long ago in rapid disconnect
I put up traffic lights for you at so many T-junctions
Set boundaries and barriers on both sides of the road
Built bridges and roundabouts and paid traffic fines
But violations kept coming and you crossed the red line
Some say you are too young to have a driving licence
And recite chaos theory for your very own highway to hell
De-rooted yield signs lie broken next to strewn promises
Sweet child now it is time to gather your scrap heap alone
I won’t be drawn into further collusion and enablement
Must wave the chequered flag of surrender of abused trust
You will crash on and on until you take consequent charge
I will not rescue you any longer but secure my own lane

Sometimes I seem to muddle through* somehow
but English "muddle" cannot outline
a Russian sin split in two parts, a dao
divided into yin and yang, a whine
of lonely hummer in the lack of sickle,
a German bread without pumpernickel,
"Timon of Athens" in a glossy mag,
enamoured Jupiter away from Io,
the old good Middle West without Ohio,
a suddenly inflated airbag.
The Russian language differs. I stay steadfast
to split my sins - an alcohol abuse,
a sloth, a pride as well as bed and breakfast
in half with you, my English-Russian muse.
* (rus.) to do smth with a sin in half.
Tear
A word with dual Meanings,
The effect of an emotion
And then the other;
To rip apart into pieces
My Scar of the tear,
Etches on my body in different concepts
One i got from mother nature on my thigh
111 of thorn marks
I fell and got back up
I rose and didnt die
One from a stray Dog
Wasnt her fault though,
Weary she had been from before
From her own scars that she bore
I think somehow her tail got broke,
From the way it looked,
It had been slammed into a door
The last from a car wreck
Airbag didnt deploy
And my teeth penetrated above the upper lip
Leaving 2 small lines scared probably forevermore
It was my fault i admit
Shouldnt have trusted myself that day
My head had been filled with her hateful noise
Took a second to long
And the 3rd happening tore the veil
And a part of me became void
Only to rise again, hoping it can be filled
With patience, i await it
Like a song by pink floyd
Have you ever had a bad day,
You know one that starts out wrong,
And you wish it would end,
But it is just taking to damn long,
Well I had one just yesterday,
And as the day continued to drag,
I did the stupidest thing ever,
Had my mouth resembled an airbag,
I popped off and yelled at my love,
Takeing my dumb day out on her,
Then I seen the pain in her eyes,
Had no idea what was about to occur,
I felt like I was the dumbest person ever,
Still can't believe I put pain in her eye,
And now I fear I'm going to lose her,
Then ill just fade away and die,
I want her to know that I'm so sorry,
And it will never ever happen again,
Will she believe me one this one,
She will just have wait till my days end,
I will still be very much in love with her,
And I will devote the rest of my life,
Showing and proving to her that,
She will never have another day of strife!!
It was a dark, snowy night,
My blurry eyesight,
I'm just trying to get from point a to B
But I can barely see,
I can hardly walk, talk, stand,
My slurred speech,
I know I shouldn't be driving,
But nothing will happen to me...
Until all of a sudden my car swerves,
It ignites my nerves,
I jerk the wheel to avoid going off the road,
Little did I know,
A car was coming the other way,
I didn't have the time, to move my car,
I crash,
The airbag explodes,
Glass shatters, I stagger,
Out of the car, blood dripping,
From who knows where...
I hope they're okay, their car's crushed,
The front end mangled,
The drivers tangled,
In between the seats, I try to reach,
For them, but I collapse,
The pain rushes through my punctured
Lung,
I'm done...
I lie down, try to breathe,
But it hurts, sharp pains
Pierce my veins..
I can't move, hurt and cold, I can't speak,
I wish I would've listened when they preached,
I was dumb, believed in invincibility..
Now I'm dying, my future is bleak,
I close my eyes, try to regain peace,
Slowly I'm numbing, it's a welcomed ease,
I drift away, into my mind,
Never to wake, I've left it all behind..
Record my voice and listen to my brainwaves.
I'm a dragon ready to tear up the sky, no lie, I'm two-headed with the mental capacity of a possum.
All I do is play dead and eat from the kitchen sink.
They tried to dissect both my brains, but all they found was a bag of pins and needles with an airbag on the side.
"He vanished" is what they'll all say.
My best trick yet, but I'm not done.
I'll make them remember my name, engrave it on their skulls, hypnotize them until I'm the one drunk.
I'll invade every channel on TV, rumors are going to spread like wild-fire, *poof* "he's back."
Sorry to say this, but I never left, I just took time off to go on the Straight and Narrow.
In an empty car lot,
Airbag,
CRASH!
We miss the hounding
We miss the hail damage sales
We miss the drag-it-in trades
Empty lots
Airbag,
Crash!!!
When we gettin’ the bail out
Closing overseas
Closing 35%
Dusty, empty lots
Airbag,
CRASH!!!
Dropping lesser brands
Higher fuel standards
When we getting’ the bail out
Empty, empty lots
Airbag,
CRASH!!!
Commissioned to feed families
Commissioned to fail
Commissioned to beg
Commissioned to relocate
Commissioned to set up tents
Next to other tents
Can’t afford an
Airbag,
CRASH!!!
