emotional whiplash
hit hard by divorce it felt like a fatal crash
no hope future nor happy ending in sight
the airbag had failed and the brakes had not worked
the tank felt empty tax expired any insurance foreclosed
it took reflection grief and sadness to resolve the calamity
and eventually rationalisation made way for feeling emotions
in a humble friendly compassionate fashion of self-loving care
he had survived and felt no longer the victim
so he could not afford to whip himself any longer
self-harm was not the solution for future and healing
and suddenly he looked at the sun in a very new light
