Contest Description

What to Submit?

One of the best songs  ever written in my opinion  is Bridge over troubled waters.
It is so full of meaning, the ultimate song of comfort. Write me a poem based on whatever part of the song that inspires you. With so many problems in this world, social, family, health, economic, war, terrorism etc, the world needs comfort. What are your troubled waters, and what is your bridge? Minimum 10 lines, maximum 50 lines.

Any form is acceptable, but, obviously I'm partial to lyrics, so in your  poem, extra points will be given for repetition, use of refrains, anything that gives it a lyrical feel. Obviously writing a full lyric is the ideal, but hey, not even a qualified songwriter will ever match the beauty of these lyrics, so don't be intimidated. Write me a beauty, use for Bridge Contest  in your title so I don't read it by mistake.

PLEASE NO NAMES

DO NOT ENTER ANY POEM YOU LIKE IF NOT RELATED TO THIS THEME IT WILL NOT BE READ.

PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO SPELLING, IT DRIVES ME CRAZY WHEN A BRILLIANT POEM HAS SPELLING ERRORS, THAT IS THE LEAST ONE SHOULD DO WHEN ENTERING A POEM INTO A COMPETITION.

JUST POSTED NEVER LET YOU DOWN AS A SAMPLE!!

ENJOY
