Bridge Contest
I watch the anguish of this face
A face hiding in blind moonlight;
While duskfall hears my aching breath
That groans for a tender embrace.
Oh, how lonesome these cares are
Upon a broken-hearted wish...
Oh let me endure this, dear life
To lighten my eyes with one star.
Chorus:
Allow angels to feel my pain
They'll be the harbor in the rain
They'll be the harbor, be the song
Within safe wings, I do belong.
And when the maddened voice goes on
They'll be my harbor, be the joy
To soothe all restless ebbs of tide---
To hold me right until near dawn.
So I'll caress the breeze , headstrong
Run ever free and meet new dreams;
Without any grief, without tears
Angels are the harbor... my song!
