Never Say Never For Bridge Contest
I tell you never say never
if the flood conceals the landscape
you would cross turbulent river,
for you have no way to escape.
If you are struck by bitter strife
I tell you never say never
you wouldn’t survive storm in life,
for nothing would last forever.
From night’s recess sun would appear
even if hope for light is gone,
I tell you never say never
you wouldn’t see beautiful dawn.
To forgive torture you withstand
at times when the mind would waver
if conscience asks you to hold hand,
I tell you never say never.
