Contest Description

What to Submit?

One new haiku on the theme of nature in summer. Poems dated before 6/25/24 will not be considered for placement.

1. One new three line haiku poem, nature in summer themed.

2. 5 7 5 syllable counts and in that order.

3. All lower case letters in your poems.

4. Title is not capitalized and it's what your subject is. Example; waterfalls.

5. Please use howmanysyllables.com to check your poems.

6. Please no human emotions or religious themes.

Prizes

There will be multiple placments.

Preparing Your Entry

Submit one copy of your poem online. Format your poem. Please make your entry easy to read — no illustrations or fancy fonts. 

English Language

Poems should be in English. Poems translated from other languages are not eligible, unless you wrote both the original poem and the translation.

A Note to Poetry Contestants

You are welcome to enter this contest, whether or not you won a prize in one of my previous contests. I will be checking poems for AI and any that are AI generated will not be considered for placement.
