Such a beautiful image to behold, sunflowers around the mailbox. :) They are a sign of happiness, health, hope and good luck. Positivity as well. This beautiful in every way. :) Hugs, Brandy

A lovely haiku dear Andrea with skilful well defined chosen words to create a vivid imagery of your mailbox. I love the ‘ a sunflower convention’ line especially. Let’s hope the weevils aren’t too troublesome! Really enjoyed it. Good luck in the contest. Hugs and smiles :):)

Dear Andrea, I love sunflowers and your Haiku shines brightly. With all beauty, there is always something that threatens to take it away. - Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

Quite an interesting haiku, dear Andrea. With rain a number of weevils encroach our house. They are so unwelcome, but yet they prove callous invaders!

Thanks. I looked up the enemies of sunflowers and weevils were in top 3!
