ABOUT ME : Late babyboomer Canadian born in the beautiful Eastern Townships of Quebec, and raised in Northern Ontario. Fell in love with Ottawa where I received my B.A. with a major in french literature. Still living in Ottawa, I'm finding out that oncoming golden years offer a very rich perspective on life and beauty.

The themes of my poetry are found in everyday life. I write mostly free verse but I'm also a member of Haiku Canada and have had haiku published in various anthologies.

Please visit often my growing collection of poems and I hope you find many will resonate with you. I'd love to hear your comments.

By the way, my name is pronounced Lynn, and my avatar is an ink painting I created on rice paper years ago. The symbol means PLAY - something I have finally learned to do in later years and poetry is definitely my favorite form of play.

I've said it before and I'll say it again ~ Brian Strand gave us a much appreciated generous stretch of frequent contests that we all found stimulating and exciting. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Now it's time for us to enjoy you more as the poet than the judge by reading your poetry.

All trhe best to you always, Brian ~

Line xx

Some questioned why I gave those poems I liked a first place ...I did so as increasingly I fpund judging between poetry a bit like dissecting butterflies..

Line ..Greg&Gary also soupmailed some kind words as well about my contests...I followed the PS guidelines & judged as folk entered & thereby finalising was easy to complete.(there is nothing worse imho that waiting once a contest is closed so I resolved not to so do)

Cheers ..Line,Ann,Andrea,Rama,Constance,Anitha ..my purpose of my contests was to repeat the encouragement I received here in the first few months of 2007..best summed up in this monoku verse..Kind words are like a motherbird.. they help others to fly...if my sponsorship has done that ..the effort was worthwhile

Fully agree with you line. He allowed us full freedom to pen our heart out . No themes, no limitations. His contest were most popular. I enjoyed participating in them and would surely miss them. He would never delay judging. Moment contest was over, his judgement would be ready. Amazing! Thanks for the blog.
