ABOUT ME : Late babyboomer Canadian born in the beautiful Eastern Townships of Quebec, and raised in Northern Ontario. Fell in love with Ottawa where I received my B.A. with a major in french literature. Still living in Ottawa, I'm finding out that oncoming golden years offer a very rich perspective on life and beauty.

The themes of my poetry are found in everyday life. I write mostly free verse but I'm also a member of Haiku Canada and have had haiku published in various anthologies.

By the way, my name is pronounced Lynn, and my avatar is an ink painting I created on rice paper years ago. The symbol means PLAY - something I have finally learned to do in later years and poetry is definitely my favorite form of play.

I have made so many wonderful friend on PoetrySoup that I feel blessed to be able to share with you that my husband is in the last phases of bone cancer. He is resting comfortably at home. I am lucky to have the loving support of his daughter and a caring palliative team coming to our home daily.

Your good wishes and support are most appreciated, even the telepathic ones. Thank you ~

Feeling lucky and blessed in our misfortune, things could always be worse and during these covid times they certainly have been worse for so very many people ~

I appreciate your warmth and friendship~

Stay safe, stay happy ~ life is so precious and so short,
