Enchanting Charmaine's "Pasionata", Recited

For those of you who haven't had the privilege of listening to Charma before, please scroll down below to listen to her.

A big thank you goes out to Tim Smith for splicing the audio from Drake's show several years ago, you're so cool to be able to do this !

I remember listening to Drake's show before and being so enchanted when I heard Charma's voice (among other Soupers)-- her accent and voice was so soothing and melodic and in a word (sorry I am gonna be redundant for my brains are fried with the heat here)-- Enchanting.

Beautiful voice, beautiful lady, inside and out.

The amazing poem she's reciting here is "Pasionata" Enjoy!

A while ago I found this lovely blog! So I opened an extra window to bring up the Passionata poem and then followed Charm's melodic reading to the lyrics.....a delight!! A beautiful voice...and even more beautiful when you talk to her face to face:)

Another beautiful voice. It's so nice to hear our sweet Charma reading her poem!! (I could hear this one very easily, Nikko. So strange I could not hear the one you did on your own reading)

Nikko, damn. I see what you meant by reading my blog then posting about this. What a coincidence! :D Yes, the first time I heard Charmaine's voice, I was stunned. Paralyzed. This poet, had no words. My smile was Joker-like, minus the psychotic tendencies. lol This brings me back. Thank you for this.

Drake, yup! This is what I was telling you about-- actually there was an earlier blog where I gave a shout-out to you, wondering where you were...It was pretty cool, seeing your announcement in your blog-- Coincidence, could be! Perfect timing, too. Again, thank you as well to you for providing a platform to read our stuff. I think it's really great that you do this. and yes, Charma reading your poem is mesmerizing. More power to your show, Drake!

Oh Drake .You must have felt my cheeks burning hot through the way I uttered my words.I was so shy that time..and Butterflies did churn everywhere..But you helped me so much .by being friendly and warm..Yes ,Im right back there now...I fo wish you luck with your new show..Its a great opportunity to meet other soupers on air ,including you ,and make their voices heard...: ).Glad you're back on ps.

Hi Cyndi, have you taken your coffee already :p....Glad that you are changing your mind with regards to reading poetry aloud, Cyndi. I've said it before, gonna say it again (ha, to minimize sounding like a broken record, let me paraphrase)-- Spoken poetry can give life to a poem in another way; adds another layer to it that's otherwise not achieved by mere silent reading. I can go on and on but will stop. In any case you want to hear me read something as well, you can check out my earlier blog, I think posted Apr14. I hope listening to me won't change your mind, though haha. We've managed to convince Tim Smith to read his poetry aloud (check out his blog). You should try it out, too.

Drake, I've always dug in my heels and said, poetry is for the page to be absorbed with the mind and heart, not the ears... but you changed my mind! I loved hearing this! Heck, I may try to learn to do this... again. Thanks!

Oh yes first time, and a very long -distance call, A different accent , and the excitement of connecting with souopers.You can imagine the butterflies churning in my stomach : ).. I think others should really be able to hear your charming voice-- and yes, thank you to Tim for being able to splice the audio! For your first time to recite, I think it was wonderfully done & yup, thanks to Drake as well for having this platform to showcase poetry in this manner!

It was my pleasure to help out Nikko. Charmaine has a very endearing voice. I really enjoyed putting a voice to that poem. You can feel the emotions in the spoken word...Now it would be nice to hear a few more soupers : )

Thank you again, Tim! Yes,you are so right with your descriptions of her voice, and can I also add, very melodic...I wonder who else will be next-- I know pd wants to record one and I hope she posts it soon!
