Chocolate cookies, scent fills my home
Nice phone calls with friends from afar
The good moments shine like a star
New birds come to feeder and roam

Some things today, didn't go well
But good times replaced it all
Pets comfort, while I hear peace call
Like the wind chime ringing its bell

Hours can change with attention
Simple things inside my soul
The flag flies in breeze on the pole
There's so many things I could mention

Even with weakness, strength is found
Like a gem beneath many rocks
Gratitude shines during the walks
Never forget the sights and the sound

The effect of Love

I love you.
And because I do, I want to say I’m sorry,
Not for the sins I may have committed, but for who I am.
Unknowingly, I’ve slowly suffocated you—
Smothered you with attention, and not for your benefit but mine.
And though my heart may not stop to think about my actions, my brain does,
Sending warning after warning, when I may step too far.
And there’s only one answer why neither my brain, nor my heart can stop.
It’s because—
I love you.

Premium Member Sassy and My Foot

My right foot was swollen along with my middle toe
the doctor gave me antibiotics for infection shows
The swelling was reduced and hopefully I'll be cure
but my dog Sassy has become slightly absurd
Sassy licks my foot with attention to that toe she craves
when ever I lie in bed barefoot to rest at end of the day
At first I didn't notice with diabetes hard for me to feel
but a slight sensation and I look to reveal
The silly girl dog was licking my foot like a meal
Sassy what are you doing what is the big deal
I hung my foot over the bed but she jumped to the floor
and she continue licking my foot even more
So I have to wear a sock and she sniffs and whines
is she a nurse dog or wanting to dine
Cosmo was watching her lick my foot wondering why
so the big boy sniffed it than left the room to hide
Sassy is silly and when I lie in bed
she eagerly wants me barefoot as if she is to be fed
Some dogs can smell illness and can be train to alarm
Sassy enjoys licking my sick foot I guess there is no harm.

Premium Member No Accounting For Taste

One can say my skies aren’t lofty
And my style does not appeal
To their taste I’m too low key
They don’t care if I’m real
Or a shadow of bygone
If I’m living or deceased
If I’m right or if I’m wrong
They can’t bother less – I’m pleased
With attention I provide
I respect the time they waste
Reading words I couldn’t hide
Just to fit some little taste.

Premium Member Invoking grace

Thoughts that arise in mind, we stop halfway,
that thus with attention animated,
flow of life itself by our choice we stay,
poised in stillness, vibrant and elated,
our consciousness by bliss mists hydrated,
borne as always by divine magnetism,
illuminating our mind-body prism,
state of becoming we cannot explain,
that transformed by an unknown mechanism,
soul free from stain breaks free from ego’s chain.

Premium Member Ascent

It is our chin chakra’s resolve,
that our heart be poised in the void,
as a sublime, flicker-free flame,
that we may breath by breath evolve,
revealing soul’s light unalloyed,
becoming thus our claim to fame.

Bereft of fear and dark desire,
with attention internalised,
throb of bliss magnetism invoked,
caress of which we never tire,
truth of oneness is realised,
with our presence with God’s will yoked.

Easy is our ascent uphill,
since we have surrendered our will.

What Breaks You

What breaks you is a seed.
You water it with silence,
Prune it with isolation,
Feed it with attention.

What shattered your world,
Will shape your crown.
A bootleg kind of royalty,
Rooted not in applause,
But in stillness.

The pain always leads back to Eden.
Not as a path,
But as a remembering.
A breaking point.
A rhythm you lost,
Then became.

Premium Member flame that has no name

how still is our stillness betwixt bliss beats
with attention fixated in the play
rapture refrain that breath by breath repeats
is-ness of being-ness that’s here to stay

resting thus as awareness self-aware
God tends to our needs so why should we care
we’re beyond definitions and labels
for we’re the flame spoken of in fables

as the silent witness
to all comings and goings
vibrancy in staid nonchalance
epitomises our orientation
in mode embrace and release
with attention fixated within
in reverberations of bliss
enabling consciousness shift
from duality to singularity
at will thus breath by breath
in a time dissolved continuum

Unprecedented Spirit

I wish you were close
To remind me of trust and its dose
To keep firm the love I have on the loose
To hug me and keep not lose
Coz blood You were my dearest goose
That laid golden eggs

I wish you were alive
To this feeling of my body that arise
A lot of insecurity and lies
Lot of fake blood and friends with attention that dies
Lot of missments that has dried
And I hope and wish becomes firm like I cried
That one of this fine days we unite
In that realm you live and kite
It has been long since I saw you brother
I wish and I hope are the words
That one day will be true
And I will be part of your crew
To the smiles and the hot dew??

Premium Member BONE BEACH

Inviting nature lovers with glee
Welcoming toward freedom where they can flee
Bone beach exudes grand artistic worth
Amidst mother Earth’s radiating mirth.

Serene in its mystical tranquil delight
While seemingly enigmatic for artifacts’ sight
Bone beach oozes with attention gain
Along its offered fascinating terrain.

As paradise for photographers in their posting zest
Designed wondrously, marked by creativity’s best
Showcasing archeological beauty as treasure
Bone beach is a place I want to visit with pleasure.

Premium Member To Which Image Should We Cling

I am but one now, and not another prior
Never before have I trodden this path
Never before have I lived this hour
I need not do the history or the math

If my history consisted of endless days
If my distant past revealed a different me
I'd be, not human, but divine and amazed
I would not need a savior to set me free

My purpose, built-in with destiny; set with attention
My future status will be far more than 'An also ran'
My origin was formed with precision and intention
Moreover, my past was not happenstance but planned

To a past that never was will I not CLING
My existence is not a multiple-choice test
Never upon a fantasy will I place my being
But upon much surer promises, I will rest

So, with certainty, I CLING to the image-maker
I am neither puzzled by fate nor by the lottery
I was created by one who is a promise keeper
I am nestled in the bosom of the Almighty

upon identity dropping
as the dead leaf falls off
which mindful eye notes
in that precise moment
we see who we truly are
light, awareness, peace
both vibrant and at rest
in a state of completion
needing no doing at all

as of choiceless choice
we return back to form
residual identity awakes
but now without agenda
it poses no threat to us
for with attention gentle
with wisdom assimilated
and awareness seamless
we are as we are complete

Take Back the Mind

We have handed over control
to a phantom, that insane inner voice
we name the 'ego'.

Listen not to those demanding monologues
look not to their twisted reasoning.
Do not fight with its recitations
give them no credence.
Such thoughts come
from the invasive roots of fear,
do not feed them with attention.

Don't identify with its words,
it will talk to us
as if it were our own true thoughts
yet they are not, they never ever were.

Turn your mind away
neglect and ignore
the ego's attempts to persuade
and coerce.

Our real thoughts emerge
from that space we create from silence,
there the ego holds no sway,
there its mad dialogues
can be easily expunged
with just a simple and knowing smile
of pure awareness.

Premium Member Dark Dungeons of Despair

Returning back to earth, elements five,
that that remains, is essence of presence,
spirit unfettered, here on earth to jive,
until ego stifles soul’s innocence,
whereupon veiled remains luminescence,
with attention orbiting narrow grooves,
enmeshed in desires, conscience disapproves,
remaining thus in hypnotic slumber,
bleeding needlessly under dream form hooves,
plunged in darkness, by fears that encumber.
