Sights and Sound

Chocolate cookies, scent fills my home
Nice phone calls with friends from afar
The good moments shine like a star
New birds come to feeder and roam

Some things today, didn't go well
But good times replaced it all
Pets comfort, while I hear peace call
Like the wind chime ringing its bell

Hours can change with attention
Simple things inside my soul
The flag flies in breeze on the pole
There's so many things I could mention

Even with weakness, strength is found
Like a gem beneath many rocks
Gratitude shines during the walks
Never forget the sights and the sound

Your "Sights and Sound" is a wonderful write. I love Chocolate cookies/wind chimes ringing. Wish we were eating the Chocolate cookies with the wind chimes ringing. That would be a great day. Hugs... Have a lovely weekend writing away...........
