Premium MemberReverie of Wintertime

In winter’s peaceful reverie, enchanting snowfall reigns
with dizzy, wistful flurries that flow so lightly down
they settle softly o’er the treetops and the winding lanes
while children sled around and distant church bells sound
across the wavy hillsides and blanketed white ground.

And in the air, aromas waft of lightly roasted chestnuts
distinctly mixed with purest scents

Set to the tune of 'Edelweiss' from The Sound of Music

Wintertime, wintertime
Evergreens don festive wardrobes

Ivory
Christmas Eves
Swirl in peppermint snowglobes

Magical mirrors of lakes to skate
Taste snowflakes
On our tongues

Wintertime, wintertime
Keep my heart warm
Til spring comes.

Wintertime, and the snow is now falling.
Trees are bare, and the wind blows through them
Holes in the cabin, and we feel like its freezing.
Dad must bring some good warmth to all of us.

Drag in some thick logs, and the fireplace is ready.
Then, we’ll surely find plenty warm woollen clothes.
Look, sweet child, the lake is all

Absconded

Stormy, showery, windy
Freezing evening
Wintertime, timber
Leaved forest, pointed pines old
A forlorn dog
With thoughts in its head
Growls at eared, sleepy owl
Who rises from cursed bed
Without a pause
Turned and fled

Premium MemberWhere Is the Butterfly In the Wintertime-

Where is the butterfly
and where does it go in the wintertime
Fly away, flies the butterfly
As the snowflakes come falling down
Do the crystal white drops of dew
Fall, frighten and freeze you
Come true, come here be near
my ladybug arthropod
my dragonfly
as a kiss as in nervousness, a lady
trepidation praying mantis
I just can't stand this
As the ghostly clouds come

Ghost Gloomy Wintertime Shadow Mountain - A Haiku

gloomy wintertime
A poor, terrible ghost stalks
at the old shadows

wintertime dweller
speaking, terrible ghost talks
watching the shadows

as yon snow flakes falls
shadows of whiten mound banks
gloomy wintertime

COVERED WINTERTIME- - A Haiku

covered wintertime
a nocturnal squirrel looks
in spite of the bear
~
snow-clad wintertime
a frozen lake looks solid
man in the middle
~
covered wintertime
an awaken squirrel runs
gathering ground nuts

Wintertime Has Come Again

Wintertime has come again, and love is still in the air.
The snow trickling down our shoulders is but warm
as you shield me from the coldest Winter snowstorm.
Many a year ago you saved me from my

Wintertime In Cyprus

Days are short and nights are long,
We no longer sing the summer song.
As the nights draw in, log fires burning,,
Going out at night has lost it's yearning.
At home we can enjoy our meal,
Cooked in love, it has its appeal.
Both now sated, a glass of wine,
In front of the fire we rest supine.
The coldness of night,the

Wintertime

Its that time of year the leaves all fall,
The days grow short as winter makes its call.
Temperatures drop and the cold sets in;
Let's build a big fire and watch for the snow to begin.
Soon everything will be covered in a blanket of white,
Its so calming and peaceful to see such a sight.
Wintertime
