Premium Member WHERE TEXAS LEGENDS WALK THE NIGHT

The old pecan trees murmur tales at dusk,
their branches bending low with whispered lore;
a phantom rider stirs the meadow’s musk,
his shadow slipping past the ranch house door.

The bluebonnets turn their faces as if to hear
the cadence of his hoofbeats threading through the year.
Some say he guards the dreams the lost ones keep,
and walks the night so Texas souls may sleep.

Let's go on a walk

Roses are Red
Violets are Blue
Turn the Table
Let's go on a walk

Feel how I feel
The way you treated
I don't want to talk
You are not listening

I avoid your presence
Hands on my breast
Fear of sleeping
Waking up scared

Not myself anymore
Tell me who I am
Crying is useless
Smiling is meaningless

TO WALK IN FAITH NOT FEAR

to walk in faith, not fear
I've come to understand
I must develop the daunting Spirit
like that of the Son of Man

to walk in faith, not fear
Is God's intent for me
He gave me love, power, a sound mind
not a spirit of timidity

I desire to walk with the fortitude
of the Holy Ghost
with an attitude of self-assurance
which I need the most

to walk in faith, not fear
Is God's intent for me
He gave me love, power, a sound mind
not a spirit of timidity

the Holy Spirit doesn't operate
In a state of depravity
It calls God's children to move, to groove
with spiritual bravery
Intrepid, level-headed
exercising a boldness of faith
not in fear, not scared
forging a god-driven gait

to walk in faith, not fear
Is God's intent for me
I now have love, power and a sound mind
Instilled in me

Now basking in God's perfect love
with a persistent faith unheard of

to walk in faith, not fear
Is God's sole intent for me
I now have love, power and a sound mind
which He instilled in me

to walk in faith not fear

Premium Member The Beautiful Impossible Motion ...... POTD ......

The beautiful impossible motion,
can we see, feel, touch motion?
No,
we see, feel, touch the results of motion.
Motion stands still,
until we use it.
We humans have no motion until we move,
walking, running, or maybe dancing.
Even weather has no motion,
until it speaks.
The winds blow with motion,
we then see the leaves move.
Everything starts out with no motion,
moving gives motion to the movement.
We can not see, feel or touch motion,
yet we can see, feel, touch motion in action.
What a wonderful impossible thing motion has been.

Seen On My Walk

Seen on my walk – a delivery truck
Was being unloaded. One box
Was plunked on the ground; some may be out of luck
For its eggs might have suffered some shocks.

Another block on, there was parked on the street,
With a fender that suffered a wham!
A new pick-up truck named, just to make it complete,
In big letters, you guessed it – a RAM!

Saw three pickleball games and a guy with green hair –
Just a typical 6 a.m. sight.
In the city, no matter the time, you’ll be where
Something’s sure to surprise or delight.

TAKE

Take your house, your life, your history, your everything.
Yes, they want to take everything, they have no love, no empathy.
They want your all, your blood, your land, your all.
They did not come to help, they came to take and take, until you are done.
Take is the way they take your life, your job, your future, your everything.
They even take your descendants by teaching them not to produce, or others ways not known.
Fill your life with all of you, make children and teach them to be you, the real commodity is love, pass it forward and move with all your love.
For taking is something we were taught from God, he told us not everyone will love us and want us to be well.
For even heaven has exclusive people, not all will make it through heaven's gate.
Thank you God, today and always, prayers and thanks for all the love.

Premium Member Taking Poppy for a walk

She's a puppy called Poppy.
I let her think she's the boss.
She decides to head right or left.

The Shepherd's Walk

Sheep graze, silent bleat
Shepard's walk on tepid feet
Pale site soon to greet

Malevolence roar
Cloven hooves may click no more
Red eyes wreck the door

Rotted fur, sense life
Pole that swings the mighty strife
Blood of two, one knife

Wind blown fur. ripped skin
Lambs cry, herdsman hard win
Ewes pain, wolfs dead grin

Grey a sheep, keeper weeps
His flock, the wolf never sleeps
His herd, beware... wolf leaps

Premium Member Walk in Nature

Daylight begins with its sunrise
Breeze’s ripple across the lake,
Morning fills a bright golden sky.

A dirt path calls me from my seat,
A lone squirrel makes branches shake,
Where wild and hidden colors meet.

The river moves swift across stone,
The sleepy woods begin to wake,
And clear away the stress I've sown.

A large goshawk goes soaring past,
Shadows shift for beauty's sake,
Natures peace truly built to last.

The red sun drops in crimson glows,
A final breath is ours to take,
The heated wood hearth makes me doze.

Walk the Line

Here's to the one's
Who play the part
With a smiling face
But an aching heart.

Who ride the wave
But all the while
They hide the pain
Behind the smile.

This is to those
Who face the rain
When the tide is high
And days are gray.

Who walk the line
To pave the way
To a better life
And brighter days.

Did I walk? Did I fly? I will just sleep

Did I walk? Did I fly? I will just sleep.
I have done the homework of living.
I showed up with my heart on time, every time.
I have been both the architect and the weary janitor of my own days.
So why does the ceiling still leak?
Why does the warmth drain so quickly from the room?

The shaking is not from the wind,
but from having followed the blueprint for a shelter perfectly,
I still stand shivering within it
and the cold comes in anyway,
from somewhere I cannot name and cannot find.

Perhaps no wire is crossed.
No bucket left out that should have been brought in.
Perhaps the only thing left is to wait
for a different season,
to watch the light change at the window,
to lay down the tools. Not in surrender.
In exhaustion.

I walked. I ran.
Perhaps I must simply sleep for the right time,
and hope, against the grey at the window,
that a better day is a real place,
and not just another name for the patience
that files you to the place where the nerve is.

A Purple Walk

A Purple Walk

I took a purple walk
Among the purple trees.
It was strange and becoming
As purple touched the leaves.
I felt purple in the air, like
A sudden kind of grace;
But nothing saw such purple
As the smile on her face.

Two years have now gone by
And I see purple everywhere.
But for some purple reason,
I felt my sister was actually there.
