Premium Member They Walk Amongst Us

They walk amongst us, but in silent ways,
spreading peace and love without any praise.
When thunder roars and lightning strikes in rain
they watch over us, healing bleeding pain.

Yet we do not see their celestial light,
nor do they shed feathers within our sight.
Happy to hide behind unknown faces,
empathy guides them to deprived places.

Heal and soothe, they prevent tears from flowing,
touch our hearts to leave our spirits glowing.
From Sydney to London, Rome to Bombay,
provide moments that take our breath away

Their acts of grace form a ripple effect,
kind gestures that help people to connect.

Premium Member Catch the World

to walk in early morning's still

to see the silence through the chill

to smell the rise of dawn from night

to hear the sky's unravelling light

to taste the distant fields of grass

to breathe the dry stone walls that pass

to touch the earth's pure pristine air

to catch the world - and hold it there.

To Walk a Mile In Her Shoes

Would I dare

to walk a mile in her shoes

To put my feet in cinder's slippers

 marry a handsome prince

who turns out to be another Jafar

Would I dare to let the glass shards

of those tight slippers

slice open my heels till I bleed

Would I dare

to let dignity purse my lips tightly

and let pride silence the cry

Would I dare to own her brains

to taste mental yeast's bitter shame

Would I be the servant and cook

the tutor, cab driver, the warrior ,the lover

the whor* of an unfinished book

to be thanked by insults and be called out names

To be the one that He always blames

Would I dare feel the sweat of his fist

without being bruised nor being hit

Would I find Alice,call her a fool

Does she know ,there is no wonderland

if you live to the vow and play by the rule

What about God,His promised land

Does this hourglassed desert

ever feel the touch of His hand

Will She taste frosted manna

if She runs far away

Or would she challenge the bully

and have it her way

Does her dream ever leave the blues

Would he look in her eyes

Would He dare to walk

a mile in her shoes?

Premium Member Alone I Walk

I walk and walk
and in my mind
I walk toward
something someone you

I walk and walk
in a motion I wish was soothing
somehow it’s nowhere that I walk
never getting closer

I wonder how it is I’m walking
riding life’s evermoving sidewalk
going against the tide against the grain
never getting closer

static not getting anywhere
and not getting further
I’m left alone with my illusion
of somehow getting closer

Twin, silver cathedral bells, sway and chime.
As every note peals out, clear and sublime.

No winds blow through the sky, this silent night.
The peaceful heavens, filled with a celestial light.

Arm in arm, down the icy lane we do walk.
Heart to heart, our souls they seem to talk.

A pair of happy cardinals, one red, one gold.
Go bobbing through the snow, so white, so cold.

Along the hillside, stands rows of frosted pine.
The fields, blanketed in diamonds, a vision divine.

Couples, young and old, seated in horse-drawn sleighs.
Making new memories, and reminiscing their by-gone days.

Nestled so close together, like two turtledoves.
All bundled up, with warm scarves and gloves.

Amongst white winter lands, we two do wander.
While our light hearts, are growing ever fonder.

Premium Member Come Walk With Me

Come, walk in the spring's budding forest with me,
Enraptured by musical sounds of the wild,
Where life dwells unhindered and gracefully free.

For children of nature, we happen to be,
Made open and free as an innocent child…
Come, walk in the spring's budding forest with me,

Enthralled with the wonder of earth’s majesty,
Abandoned with nature where God’s love has smiled,
Where life dwells unhindered and gracefully free.

Our worldly, dark troubles will magically flee,
Erasing the sorrowful memories filed…
Come, walk in the spring's budding forest with me,

Tranquility flows everywhere peacefully
With nature's deep fragrance, sweet-scented and mild,
Where life dwells unhindered and gracefully free.

Absorbing the essence of Earth's modesty,
With stillness and beauty of nature compiled,
Come, walk in the spring's budding forest with me,
Where life dwells unhindered and gracefully free.

Premium Member My Long Walk Home

T'was freezing cold and I struggled in the heat
I was pleased I'd put warm gloves on my feet
I shouldn't have been out on such a cold night
High in the sky was the sun and shining so bright.

Not far to walk home now just fifty odd miles
Minutes later I'd be home, my face full of smiles
My brother was with me and she felt the cold too
Shouldn't have worn shorts, her hands had turned blue.

Went into an ice cream parlour for some yummy ice cream
It was served piping hot and gave off clouds of steam
I fancied some cold soup and it was served up on a plate
And I used two left handed chopsticks, it tasted great.

Then my cell phone rang but the battery was flat
It was my wife who wanted me to buy her a cat
She said don't tell me which one, I want a surprise
But get one with four legs, a tail and green eyes.

Called to the pet shop and asked nicely for a pet
The man said sorry we've no live ones in yet
I've got two stuffed dead dogs or a puffa fish
If you don't want it as a pet it will make a tasty dish.

I got out my credit card and paid him with cash
He said don't handle the fish it will give you a rash
Me and my bro left the shop and went off on our way
I was so worn out, it had been an eventful day.

A Snowy Evening Walk

The snow wafts gently down
Softly and quietly coating the ground
With a silence so loud
Blankets earth like a shroud
Trees hold snow laden boughs
My steps as I walk make barely a sound

I take this path alone
Pondering certainties that are unknown
The twists that living takes
Mistakes we sadly make
The tears for loving’s sake
The many ways which our love hasn’t grown

Lamps aglow light my way
This beauty conflicts my heart that’s so gray
Now I wish you were here
But instead my heart fears
As our love disappears
I’ve pushed you away and there you will stay

This snowy evening stroll
And I realize your love feeds my soul
I beg of you return
So much we need to learn
It’s for you my heart yearns
Without you my darling I can’t be whole.

Premium Member Midnight Walk

Vibrant twilight colours drain
from transcending skies.
Black velvet blankets remain;
luminous stars rise.

Tread lightly, darkness is here.
Such an eerie night,
promise me to remain near;
be my guiding light.

Shadows begin to appear,
under the bright moon.
Be silent, they may hear
can we go home soon?

In your arms, one becomes safe,
feeling warm in your embrace.
Simple glimpse of your face
takes me to that magic place.

Tranced, you gaze into my eyes.
Hunter with his prey in sight;
preparing to claim his prize.
One is powerless to fight.

Lost are all inhibitions
as hands are placed on my hips.
Forgotten tribulations
as you kiss my virgin lips.

Daylight brings a halt to this
romantic rendezvous.
Abrupt end to luscious bliss
as reality breaks through.

Premium Member Never Reached Home

They are walking! Walking, walking, walking!

Long stretches of walk - hundreds of miles of impossible uncertainty,
in blazing sun, in sweltering, muggy, heat - running away from an Inferno.
Home, sweet home! Villages with shady trees!
Destination!

Thirst, hunger, bleeding.
They trudge, fatigued babies hanging on their shoulders like sandbags,
starving infants clutching hands, tears dry on their cheeks.
Men and women - walk, walk, walk!
Leave cities where cruelty is the only language,
Villages with shady trees -
Home, sweet home, far away.

Burning sun, sweating bodies, dry throat, growling tummies.
Slog beside railroads - follow tracks,
no trains, no buses, no trucks, no vehicles,
only two weary feet to carry them to their destination,
plodding with all their might until the body can not move a step further.

Lie on the tracks - it’s hard, it’s cold, it’s comforting!
Come rest, come sleep, come death -
Blood-stained tracks-
Destination never came.

Premium Member As We Walk Hand In Hand

As we walk hand in hand

Today as we walk hand in hand
Happily through pure white sand
The love within my heart for thee
It flows to you so tenderly.

The ocean waves ebb to and thro
As hand in hand along we go
Bare feet in the silky sand
The sun shines down and life’s so grand

We stop, the two of us and kiss
Oh how nice to feel such bliss
As love matures we two, entwined
Such perfect sweetness we do find

Today as we walk hand in hand
Happily through pure white sand.

Premium Member The Walk of Love

The Walk of Love

With you now entering this heart enchanting with rose petals
You’re the sweetest flower dancing tunes inside one’s mind
Once upon a fairy tale dream adoring you my loving princess

You begin rising in the east amazing light crowning sunshine
Ultraviolet radiance glowing warm with rays of deep breaths
Inner sighs as you walk softly on the deepest of sands My Love

Your footprints are so soft and deeply touching Sweet Honey
As your loving gentleness sweeps me away into a paradise pure
Where we walk hand in hand smiling with such feeling and joy

In a thousand dreams floats one treasure of Golden Happiness
Your joy sparks liquid honey melting gold into our heartbeats
Fluttering on wings of a butterfly silently flying in the cool air

With the sweetest scent of the purest jasmine now pervading all
Breathless beauty as an angel of the heart sings a paean of delight
While the warm air dances on a flower kissing a breeze so softly

Flocks of beautiful birds sing you praises of glory that be forever
As they fly with such grace and their hearts beat softly in rhythm
Landing on paradise as your words touch with whispers my soul

Resonating into the deepest crevices of my ethereal psyche true
While echoing inside the chambers of your lucent pretty presence
Holding hands as the sunlight beams your every foot step now

As shadows silver dancing waves call out one name within each
Echo crashing salted sure your spices kiss our magic moments
As a gentle but sensual wind kisses the lips of a lovely Sweet Siren

As she holds us in her dreams of a wonderful love so rich and pure
We share the Dream of a thousand lifetimes beyond all compare
As twelve rich red roses blush in the heavens where one diamond

Shines so brightly with a rainbow array of heavenly colors pure
Reflecting God’s own divine design and wish for us to keep our
Eternal promise now My Love with a ring symbolizing us as One

A Country Walk

A babbling stream, a peaceful lane
These are the things that I enjoy
As I walk on a summers day
With a warm gentle breeze upon my face

A cottage in a field, with swirling smoke
A family sitting round ready to eat
Rich chicken soup and freshly baked bread
Then five little children all snug in their bed

A flitting bird upon the nest
Protecting her brood from unknown harm
A cow chewing cud all gentle and calm
Then sheep and one dog in one accord

Oh what a beautiful land we have
If we would take the time to see
Instead of rushing through the day
Let’s sit for a while and take it all in

Premium Member I Walk On Water

I walk on water. . .
I feel the coolness of the
Rolling waves splash
Beneath my feet.
I watch the sun sprinkle
Diamonds across the sea.
I float above the clouds
And feel the radiant warmth
Of the sun bless my body.

I feel the power of the wind
Caress or twist and break
Anything into submission.
I rise above the towering Alps—
Snow capped and pristine.
I enjoy a fragile flower sharing
The faint scent of heaven.
I know the Sequoias, ever growing.
I blend with verdant pastures and
Serene rolling hills in misty rain.

I know the secrets of the
Deep dark abyss.
I sense the moon’s tenderness
And share in her emotions.
I flow with the clever rivers
Seeking new exciting paths.
I form a rainbow in waterfalls.
I am free to be the wind, the earth,
The sea, when all you see is me.
