Eyes are spinning, my vertigo's bored
Sent to a doctor I can't afford
Slapped me twice in the head
Shook it like dice and said
"Boy, you've got loose gravel in your gourd"
Then jerked it sideways, brought me to tears
Smirked, poured quick dry cement down my ears
"Never tried this before"
"Pay your bill at the door"
"That should hold you for a couple years"
It’s too high, far too high, I cannot look down at the floor’
Said the bird who realised she suffered from vertigo
‘But it’s only a bird bath’ this really is too silly
Said her impatient friend, who by now was rather chilly.
‘Why me, why me? I can’t believe it’s happened to me!’
Said the bird to her friend, wishing she could flee.
We’ve got to get this sorted, we’ve got to get this right
If you are to ever take your very first true flight.
‘I have an idea, I think it might just work’
Said the bird to his friend, as she might just go berserk
‘If you simply close your eyes and imagine you can float
As if you’re perched safely, on a magic flying coat
The bird with vertigo said ‘maybe I can try’
Then closed her eyes tightly, as she flew up in the sky
She dare not even look, for fear that she may fall
But her friend was right beside her, at her beck and call.
‘You’re flying!’ said her friend ‘I’m so very, very proud’
As they both navigated carefully, each and every cloud,
Now you are a bird who is not afraid to fall,
You can do it if you try, is a lesson for us all.
Drifting with the tide
logic crashes as waves burst,
swept by vertigo.
She was yer postcard type of witch
Long black cloak and red striped hose
Pointy hat and straggly raggly hair
Even wart of requisite size on nose
Miaowly cat of evil demeanour
Balanced there on her broom
With a certain air of sang froid
As she steered around the room
But eye of toad and tongue of newt
Plus any spell known just couldn’t right
That she couldn’t fly by the moon
Cos she was so afeared of heights
She never made the witches ball
Never danced the Evil Tango
If one just can’t ride one’s broomstick
There’s no way known that one can go
So she sits at home in misery
Frantically searching for a spell
A charm a potion or incantation
To solve her perfectly dreadful hell
Oh she can curse with the best of ‘em
Cure warts and other various ills
But how can a witch be credible
When she’s always having spills
How can a witch have pride
When she can’t leave her room
To attend her monthly local coven
Cos she keeps falling off her broom
Sick throw is giroped
cut throat
splits hope
wild licking soap?
New cure for vertigo

Niagara Falls must have vertigo
It keeps falling every day just for show
Wants attention I guess
An ego hard to suppress
Must say it's pretty damn impressive though
I grasp the safety rail
and admire the view.
Beneath ancient cliffs
of grey and gold,
a sea of trees swell
into the blue white mist.
The cold wind presses me
with love of the depths;
I feel like a bird
in the light open air,
above clean space,
It would not hurt if I fell...
Love's vertigo
Outside snow is falling, no leaves left on the trees
but inside there's a heat, that brings me to my knees
Trapped inside the vertigo, as lovers rise and fall
Isn't dizzy desire the answer, whenever romance calls?

God, what is infinite mercy?
God, what is Love?
God, forgiveness for what?
Fear not for God is with thee…
God, if you are with me I can’t see you.
I feel safe when I can see who is with me.
God I am so alone and afraid. How can I fear not?
God, I am falling blind in a dark abyss with vertigo.
Falling is terror enough but why this disorienting tumble
in muscled salty waves of oceanic cosmos?
Strong arms tangle, strangle, caress, toss up, down, upside down…
will I drown or is this the labor to life?
Are the contractions pushing to an opening prayer?
Dammit God dammit, are you there?
Experiencing vertigo since waking today
A strange phenomenon, is my brain in decay?
Still alert am I
Two plus two is five
Oops, perhaps I should see a doctor without delay
Thoughts spinning around
Feel the shifting grounds
Fuzzy feelings crash
In a churning flash
Strange vertigo streams
In a flash of dreams
Sense makes no sense here
Clash of crazy spears
Round and round I go
Drowning in mad flow
Vertigo I see
Yield to what may be

my breath and bone
fused into wing
vertigo

are circling.
