Turn of An Unfriendly Card
(Tarot 3 of Swords)
I cannot empathize with a shattered heart.
That image of a fragile, breakable baby pink orb
Is insulting to how I feel.
The turn of an unfriendly card depicts three swords
thrust into a still beating heart
I feel the sliver blade of that first sword
plunge hard, deep and succinctly.
I gasp with the pain in my chest
I feel the second as it severs sideways
and tears my heart from side to side
and as grief overwhelms my shredded heart,
the third slides neatly, methodically
down the middle until it dismembers
the connection to keeping it all together,
and I double over, sink to the floor, rock my body
and cry.
What I avoided is staring at me
daring me
to accept the inevitable and grow from upheaval
Become something greater that the puddle I’ve collapsed into,
grow something strong from the richness
of the blood-meal soaked earth.
The sword hurts and tears again while being pulled out
in necessary preparation for the healing to begin.
My heart is not fragile.

i ran
a c r o s s
a neighbor's flat
just to borrow
some sugar,
in return,
i got served
too much salt;
ouch,
not the flavor
i was expecting!
i guess he's not
the salt
of the earth?

I hate to say it, but it's true
You don't like me, I don't like you
It's good to graduate from this place
So I won't have to look at your face.

Trump Unfriendly
Trump has been unfriendly and a big jerk;
Out for him many things may never work,
Big mouth will avoid;
Tonsil and adenoid;
Responsibilities and duties he did shirk.

When a man boarded a commercial jet plane,
he never thought he would experience pain.
Due to a very unfortunate incident,
he boarded as a doctor, and left as a patient.
There was urgent business for him in another city.
Security guards roughed him up and displayed no pity.
The man was bumped off the flight for four personnel.
After the savage beating, he looked like hell.
This business in the public eye does not look fine.
That certainly is no way to run an airline!

The passengers were in their seats
When something was announced –
Employees had to fly and so
Four people would be bounced.
Requests with compensation
Met with silence, so United
Chose some “random” ticket holders
To deplane and thus ignited
Quite a controversy, since one man
Just out and out refused.
His bodily removal left him
Furious and bruised.
The gentleman, a doctor,
Had some patients to attend to.
United workers didn’t care;
Nor did they pretend to.
Of course, the scene was filmed
And now those so-called “friendly skies”
Will be filled with cancellations
As the rage intensifies.

We live in an changing world
makes one wonder where it'll end
it's changed so very much
peace so often needs a mend
Children of today's future prospects
leave much to be desired
there's so much to consider
before time moves on they'll be retired
Safety seems a lost priority
danger abounds all around
nobody feels safe even at home
violence levels increasingly astound
But biblical prophecy has foretold
the worsening of mankind
to grow more evil all the more
this is the reality that we find
