Your sorrows

My friend, how deep can be your sorrows?
Through smoke filled maze of modern days
When time flies by in bleary haze
And we don't know about tomorrow?

Your eyes, once bright and full of life,
Nowdays, instead, to my dismay,
Are filled, like rainy days of May,
With hate, and pain, and fright.

No, you can't plea, no, you can't flee,
'Cause life is known for no compassion.
Your lust for it and inner passion
Have been dried up, like bloodless fleas.

Yet we don't know of what's to be.
You shed your nightly tears in bed,
But love, I beg you, please, don't fret,
And share them here, with me.

God made us with a special lust,
For friendship with people we trust.
This lust is for kinship with God,
Though oft misplaced because we’re flawed.

Become a friend to make a friend,
strangers can feel the vibes you send.
True friendship is founded on trust,
So being honest is a must.

A friend in need is a friend indeed,
So, make the Golden Rule your creed.
And do your best to be a friend,
The kind who endures to the end.

Human friends though faithful and true,
They have their limitations too.
But there is one whose love is pure,
His friendship will your cravings cure.

So, seek Him out, He’s always near
And longs to draw you to His care.
His friendship you’ll enjoy the most,
As you receive His Holy Ghost.

Your life will blossom like a rose,
Even when facing life’s tough throes.
Jesus your friend will be with you,
To succor and to see you through.

?

Means demanding nothing in return.
In that space, satisfaction is earned
You do not go about hunting for love.
That unique space, like a tender glove.

Genuine respect, then walks your way.
False flattery, will never hold any sway.
For your heart has the eyes of an eagle.
Sparkling bright as stars, they do twinkle.

True Friendship

Some people come and some people go
The ones who remain are extra special
They will know all your truths
And have lived all your memories
These are the ones to hold dear
For they are rare jewels
In these fleeting lives we lead
They are those we call true friends

True friendship my friend very much resembles the wine

It needs time to mature before the two souls intertwine!

True Friendship

True friendship is rare
It’s one in a million
A mirror image, a twinning
Mutual acknowledgement
In knowing
She’s the one
Who pays attention
Listens with intention
Can read your thoughts
Before you think them
With whom you share
Truth
Respect
Consideration
Humour
Joy
Pain
Love
No conditions
Sometimes critical
Even reproachful
But always understanding
Who keeps you in line
Before you cross it
To the point of no return
Who puts you before herself
Because that’s just who she is
One in a million
A needle in a haystack
To be treasured forever
That friend is you to me
And me to you

" Are we really friends ?"
My best friend asked me the other day.

"The best there are!" I emphatically replied.

" If we are what you say " he went on,
" How come, you and I, refer to our
individual existence as 'I' and 'you' or as
'myself' and 'yourself' and to our possessions as
'mine' and 'yours' as though we are
something distinct from one another?" then
In a very serious voice he added:

" I really wonder about the magnitude of our friendship
which tells us that we are one soul inhabiting
two bodies."*

Hearing all this I was puzzled so, after some awkward
Moments of silence, I dared to ask:

"How would you address me then? "

" As me in your body " was his immediate reply!

True Friendship

the passion we share
is true and bare
you can't compare

my dearest friend
there is no dead-end
I'll always be around the bend.

for you, I would cry,
for you, I would die
for you, I would give an unlimited supply

I have known you forever-more
I simply adore
a friendship which is never a chore

you keep away the rude
and I help your mood
your friendship never needs to be renewed.

True friendships date back to ancient times
Caressing the deepest part of a man's soul sublime
Touching the innermost
The fabric of our consciousness
An unbreakable bond lasting till the end of time

Friends

Some Friends are Sweet,
some of them cute..
Their Nature is just like,
7 Rhythms of a Flute..

RAINBOW has 7 colors,
which shows Nature’s Beauty..
Taking Care of Our Friendship,
will be our regular Duty..

All are Awesome, Ambitious,
Brilliant & Cutie Mate..
Also Linient, Loveable for Me,
& so much Delicate..

Their Friendship with Me,
is my Golden Treasure..
Also, their True Feelings,
really My Heartiest Pleasure..

Beautiful Day with someone Special,
means sharing Shiney Gladness..
Also, by Decent Talks,
blow away all the Sadness..

My Thoughts for them,
always be Judicial & Clear..
As, I can’t see in their Eyes,
a Single Droplet of Tear..

Not an artificial but,
a Pure & Natural Greet..
Sweet Smiles on their face,
will be My Beautifull Day’s Treat..

Premium Member True Friendship Is Priceless

If you need a shoulder to cry on a true friend will be there
Stands with you through life’s storms not just when it is fair
A friend who’s honest and truthful and would never lie to you
Who gives unconditional support in everything that you do
They treat you with respect and never get in your face
Understand your needs when you want your own space
A most important quality that a true friend would need
Is total loyalty and that makes them a true friend indeed.

There’s a friendly island lady who is considered a queen
Of a certain form of poetry I think you know who I mean
She made me feel very welcome when I joined poetry soup
She is a very multi-talented poetess in this poetry group.

If you do not have a fantastic sense of humor you will not make the cut,
Because my friends like to smile, joke, and laugh, sometimes they howl with laughter, but
My best buddies can be serious when they have to, when someone is hurting or sad,
And they can be the best kind of listener when someone has made me insanely mad.
I look for honor and trust in all of my very best friends, it has to be there.
If I did not revere them, our friendship would be dishonest, totally not fair.
When I got to PoetrySoup, one person in particular was especially kind.
She got on SoupMail and gave me some pointers, many quite brilliant and fine.
We have had this transatlantic relationship since that very same day,
If I ever had a chance to meet her in person, I would say hip hip hooray!

A True Friendship

A true friendship is a rare gem indeed.
One is just as hard to find when in dire need.

This is when one learns who is an acquaintance,
Shown by a small yet significant difference.

Once the subtleties have been distinguished,
And those fly by night friendships extinguished.

Hopefully the true friends are the ones you keep.
As the saying goes, "What you sow is what you reap.”

True friends lift you to the highest heights,
They make your heart sing with angelic delight.

So many people have those gems locked in their heart.
Remind them often you love them and never to part.
