YES INTENTIONAL TRIGGERS

Yes we fell for it, we drank, we smoked, we tried all kinds of stuff that made us sick.
Yes we seen the stuff on every conner, we thought it was all good for us.
Yes we thought abortion was good, that we were to young and should continue on with that type of life.
Yes we fell for it, a lot of us died, we lost our life, we could never stop all of the stuff that made us sick.
Yes we watched all the examples and thought that was the way we were to dress.
Yes we wanted good examples, of how to love life and reach all of our potential.
Yes we are trying to move ahead and love and learn, and forgive.
Yes so please stop all the bad stuff, put it in a place where people are aware of the impact of that stuff.
Yes we want our future to look bright, we do not want to fall for any negative intentional triggers that cause us death.
Lifting prayers to God, today and always.

Your Calm Triggers Their Chaos

Your Calm — a Silver Hemisphere —
Serenely — held in Hand —
Too Still — for Souls that traffic Noise —
They cannot — understand —

A Quiet — is a Provocation —
To Spirits — bred of Storm —
Your Stillness — is an Atmosphere
They cannot — take — by Form —

They rattle — at your Equinox —
They claw — at Gentle Air —
For Peace — to them — is Foreign Speech —
And Silence — lays them bare —

Yet keep — your Temper’s Lantern — lit —
Unflickering — and True —
For Chaos — melts — in Light like that —
Though Chaos — envies — You —

Premium Member Stevens Anger Triggers

Irritated Steven wrote his anger triggers down.
His therapist read them, trying not to frown.
He asked his client to number them now
Number 106 was a fat dairy cow.

Number 214 was bird booby that was blue.
All together there were a thousand and two.
Everything made him mad – paper clips even.
Therapist knew he had a lifetime of work with this guy Steven.

Triggers

Soft & loud
Here comes the storm cloud

Sssh the silent treatment
Meant for cruelty intent

Everyone’s the enemy
Even if I don’t agree

Stomping, slamming,huffing & puffing
Saying he’s only joking and bluffing

Ignoring, interrupting, intimidation
Only leads to darkness and deflation

Rolling his eyes and being dismissive
Thoughts of not to live

Invisible is how I feel
He says it’s no big deal

Triggers are all around
Without any sound

Premium Member Leadership's Triggers

Not gas, not oil, but leadership
Yes, it's leadership pipelines we lack
Young people coming up through the ranks
For their mentors' devotion giving thanks

It's every individual for himself today
That's the internet and social media way
    Instead of bringing us together
    Instead of inspiring us
All this 'technology' misinforms and divides us

So it's up to us oldsters who still know how to do it
To direct these youngsters, channel their raw vigor
For we sorely lack leaders, no Buffets, no Reagans
Let's get our youth in the pipelines ~ pulling leadership's triggers

Safety

Safety is a rare commodity.
You can tell someone your traumas & triggers and they will still use them against you for personal gain to try to control.
Which can lead to physical abuse, if you call them out on their role.
If you aren't careful friends even family will use their mask to justify their treatment & why they take everything right down to your last set of clothes.
Always stay woke & remember some even close to us, wear that manipulative cloak.

UNFORSAKENED

It is I, you said, was God-send
I was oblivious to your retirement
That extra special event.

It is I, you told, "...was a nobody."
The day after, I fell to the floor and wept
One abruptly wailed out your name.

It is I, you loved, with a love so raw
I awoke and found me on your pillow
Pink roses filled that crystal vase.

It was you, I loved, with a love so rare
I bowed and cried my first tear, all
For the sake of loving you.

Premium Member Triggers

PTSD stay away from me
Triggers let me be
Trigger here
Triggers there
Triggers everywhere
When Can I breath
When will it leave
I just want to live, I just want to sleep
I just want to lift my head up and walk not weep
I want to Stop having to ask people to forgive
It’s not fair to those who love you And give
They really don’t know what you have been through
Nor the battles in your head that are a head full
It’s always So hard and to emotional to talk about
Even though talking is the healing route
You just want to scream and yell it out
Just to be able smile
Keep people happy for once for awhile

Premium Member What Are Your Triggers

What triggers out-of-control emotions?
frown
whistle
lopsided picture frame
yellow flowered wallpaper
person
smell
landscape
poem
painted canvas
purse
postcard
antique mall
toothbrush
six thousand eight hundred other things
What triggers me is unique to me
And what triggers you is an anomaly to me

Triggers

There are triggers...
and then there are triggers.

When the stars above shine on me,
I am always aware that you trigger something within me.
What you trigger is loving.
You warm my heart
and sometimes chase me away in sadness.
But tonight you warm my heart.
Thank you. I have been wondering
many things.

The universe has no interest in what I know,
but occasionally peeks in to see how I've grown.
That eye...is not accompanied by ears.
Have you ever noticed that?

I don't want to be left behind...
and suddenly I'm that 16 year old girl
and like a box of discarded items
my parents moved several states away.
That is mine, my emotional problem. I own that.
So I send it back to it's source, return to sender,
and bless him on his path.

I am cleaning my field
in the autumn of my life.
working out shortcomings -
appropriateness...
buffing down and softening those hard spots,
that have been misperceived as strength.

Please don't misunderstand the love you trigger.
It is appropriate,
not the intimate kind,
although it is personal.
So I send you love.

Yes, there are triggers...
and then there are triggers.

I seek out inspiration.

Triggers

the punch of the first note
the sound of your name
the sight of the number
invokes an ocean of emotion

the tickle of a memory
the hint of a smile tugging lips
the ache of a heart
what remains is just reminiscing

the last word
the last laugh
the last time

marks passing bisection of our worlds
the hourglass grains sliding away
the slipping grasp on affection
the tapering conversation
history repeats itself

but the consecutive will never be the same

The Smallest of Triggers

I hate how I feel

Although common it seems

Having been once again

What I swore I’d not be

Yes, despite all the talks

That I’ve had with myself

Making promises to

Put the past on the shelf

Asking Heaven to help me

And forming a plan

Putting forth my best effort

To do all I can

But so quickly it seems

To unravel and fray

As I learn once again

What I learn everyday

That small problems are made

A full universe bigger

If you won’t stop what starts

With the smallest of triggers
