Triggers

PTSD stay away from me
Triggers let me be
Trigger here
Triggers there
Triggers everywhere
When Can I breath
When will it leave
I just want to live, I just want to sleep
I just want to lift my head up and walk not weep
I want to Stop having to ask people to forgive
It’s not fair to those who love you And give
They really don’t know what you have been through
Nor the battles in your head that are a head full
It’s always So hard and to emotional to talk about
Even though talking is the healing route
You just want to scream and yell it out
Just to be able smile
Keep people happy for once for awhile

You have given voice to many who may not be able to express these feelings. For that you are courageous. Kudos. Hoping you find peace despite dilemma and ptsd. Hugs and congrats on being a featured poem.

Meditation, quiet places in nature, mental vacations in a book, building creating things that give you joy are my outlets that lower the adrenaline. PTSD is tough stuff. And yes therapy. And don't ask me for advice on getting published :D, writing publishing is not my expertise.

There is always a trigger for a panic attack. However it seems there isn't one. I say PTSD- Poetry Til Suns Dawn. I have PTSD. Once had a 35 minute panic attack. It was very not fun. Thank you!

Poetry is subjective and abstract... The important thing is you are happy with it...If you want to get published then I suggest going on creative writing courses and see how modern poetry has changed...Its all about showing not telling...Might be a good idea to read other poems in here or by published poets..
