Unforsakened

UNFORSAKENED It is I, you said, was God-send I was oblivious to your retirement That extra special event. It is I, you told, "...was a nobody." The day after, I fell to the floor and wept One abruptly wailed out your name. It is I, you loved, with a love so raw I awoke and found me on your pillow Pink roses filled that crystal vase. It was you, I loved, with a love so rare I bowed and cried my first tear, all For the sake of loving you. *
