I travelled back down the road
on which we spent hours together,
incalculable time twisting our fates
like the vine covered walls we’d pass.
I travelled back down the road
with signs pointed toward your home
one way, and mine the other. Straight lines
and green lights sailing us through crossings.
No sunburnt ambers yet. No midway checkpoints.
I've travelled back down that road,
only years later now. The wheat still grows
in the countryside, the laybys still house dust.
That carpark where I solved the mystery of
the flashing dashboard was empty again.
I travelled back down that road,
driving into a past I loved as the present,
never thinking it a counterfeit future.
A fork in the road was drawn on your map only.
I travel back now, down this road, to a friend
who stayed as you left, who consoled as you
hid. Who helped reroute a direction
abandoned, for a different course unplanned.
I will travel along this road to the friend
who made all those journeys worth it.
As I travel through this cruel land,
As I travel through this cruel land,.
I wonder what tomorrow will bring.
Jesus wrapped His arms around me and whispered that He would hold my hand.
So now I am bold as I travel this cruel land because I'm confident that Jesus holds my hand.
So no matter what comes my way, I can always face it singing a song as I travel along, and I can help someone learn how to sing a happy song because Jesus holds their hand.
As I travel this cruel land I know my struggles will help to make me strong but I can also trust His plan.
So now, as I travel this cruel land, I am going to place everything in the Savior's hands.
The travellers wandered with word and song
Along the banks of the river long,
As each one chose their place to play,
Peeling off from the crowns along the way.
Stories told from near and far,
Reflect in the river as she reaches the bar,
Flowing from source to salty sea,
The land’s life blood, veins eternally.
Through every word, and note they strum,
A new dimension in the river’s run,
Revealed in rhythm and language rare,
To travel along the sun baked air.
The troubadours in modern form,
Embracing hearts so kind and warm,
Of the ones who listen, closing eyes,
Or longing toward the cloud patched skies.
Scents of autumn are creeping in
Wind starts to rally leaves within,
Yet still the sun shines on our band,
Of happy journeyers passing o’er the land
On margins wet and mud filled creeks,
Birds wade knee deep and probe with beaks,
The ecosystem in perfect harmony
Preserve this for next generations to see.
Yearning, in my quest for meaning, a dream unfolds
A barrier where reality fades and imagination holds
A reflection, an illusion, of a person who stole my heart
I tried to catch the glimpse of her face but the dream didn't last
From one realm of existence to another she runs
Breaking her promise of meeting me upon the setting of sun
Hiding and waiting for me to come seek
But the dream ends before we can meet
In a place where eternal promises are made
I always wait for her under the tallest tree's shade
I wonder if I will ever be able to win this game
And have the opportunity to see her once again.
Find me so that I know there is a heart where I belong
Someone to write songs for and a companion to travel along
Find me before I lose myself in this vast world
Make me yours before someone else does
As the scorching earth turns the parched earth to dust,
Making each day an effort to continue yet we know we must.
Behind them was Missouri and the life we had,
It was a happy life until things went bad.
Papa tried to make it work and for a while he did.
It was not long after the war things changed,
It soon was noted that nothing would ever again be the same.
It was mama who suggested it was time to move on.
So in this wagon that now serves as our home,
With three hundred other souls we travel along.
As we travel along the road of life,
like scenes, perceptions and beliefs will change
Opinions manifest in distinct ways
often a cause for thought to rearrange
We are subjected to the wiles of time
all the ideas and discussions we've known
celebrated persons we've tried to mime
concepts adapted from studies we're shown.
Yet, through it all, an awareness exists
a screen we can feel but can never see
It is there, we're aware, while it resists
our grasp of what this awareness might be.
Could it be we each have angels and guides
to help us on our solitary way
Never a push, just a sense they confide
a confidence when a life feels astray.
It's one of the things remaining unknown
extrasensory awareness mystique.
Perhaps it's our conscience with which we've grown,
or a nudge to remind us we're unique.

As I travel along this earthly path,
I am always with an angelic wing;
of a loved soul taken Heavens footpath,
to my soul I think they will ever cling;
flying to help when they sense any wrath.
I believe there are celestial beings,
who can fathom my deepest dark feelings;
I accept that they are never leaving !
But, sometimes my soul weeps too much for them,
so they seek Lord for an intervention;
and he blesses me with a day carp diem,
I feel his sacred holy protection;
and will 'til I repose in requiem.
you may not believe in the mystical,
you may think that my words are whimsical;
but, to believe seek the spiritual !

When we travel through the solitary road
Not taken by many of those happy crowd
Hardly we glimpse the direction board
Rather drench in the showers of depreciative words
Pondering over our desired destination
Wondering about the mystical citations
Dreading the results of our action
We may feel perturbed and agitated
Like a daunted child
Abandoned in the field wild
We feel exhausted and dejected
At this crucial time, will emerge an angel
Like the god who appears in a child's dream
To make him smile like a sunbeam
arises as an angel, our inner strength
Help us traverse the road lengthy
The spirit inside us hauls
good spirits and souls
Who will travel along with us
To make our journey successful
So when we travel through the solitary road
Not taken by many of those happy crowd
Never look up for the direction board
Do not carry those depreciative words
Rather kindle your inner force
For the road's end, it foresees
And drive you complete the course

A lovely country indeed is France
especially Menton down on the Med
everything makes you want to go back
such flowers, colors, and beauty all said
Also on the Med is the Riviera
a super little town called Agay
Its capital Paris is truly magical
so much to see either by night or day
My fav country is truly Switzerland
It's capital Geneva majestically true
staying by Vevay on the lakeside
highlight sailed on Lake Geneva so blue
Its reformation history is marked by its wall
the great reforming mark so grand
there stand Farel, Calvin, Beza, and Knox
men of godliness to righteous stand
We took the train up to the mountains
Jungfrau was the one so high a peak
reaching this beauty by cable car
all covered in white what a treat!
The longest trip was to South Africa
to travel along the beautiful garden route
visiting George, Knysna, and Mossel Bay
also to table mountain at Cape Town by day
As fall approaches
leaves turn bright orange and sun-glow red
a flash of lemon yellow and chocolate brown
their beauty can be seen
as you travel along country roads
as winter rears
they slowly fall from the tree
stripping it of it's beautiful leaves
the wind whips and they swirl around
almost floating
man and beast travel along gentle moon lit path,
pink land of enchantment shown in mind eye fair,
neighboring warriors sleeping off their wrath
ethereal future battle in the air,
spirit animal gives master a knowing stare
Counting snakes at stake.
Bringing a skate
to roll straight out
of my mind
Counting doubts and thoughts.
I wanna see it let out.
Living the experience
of being out of place
Vivid colors
of the day.
Change my way
and function along
my colors
of a young green
and watery blue
Counting seconds,
counting mosquitoes
I ride a free wave out of time
Riding along the tide
I roll in a skate.
Waves open for my self
every where, in every place,
I shake
I travel along my way
may I may?
Finding Yourself
As you travel along on the path of your life
The lessons you learn in joy and in strife
Times you quietly ponder certain events
In what trials and tribulations represents
Questioning the person you truly are
The thoughts you can have, so bizarre
Certain things that you want to change
In your daily life you seek to rearrange
Seeking to find yourself, within your life
To become aware of all troubles and strife
And delve deeper within your subconscious
To make them part of your waken conscious
Seeking change deep within your soul
Deepest of emotions that take control
Emotions exposed to the world outside
Within negative thoughts that may reside
Seeking something that is deep within
Though unsure of where to begin
Deepest emotions that left a scar
Help find out who you truly are
Searching for your most inner self
Can be such a feat within itself
Seeking out to find who you truly are
You find within you a new repertoire
When opaque nights are starless, and gloomy days hazy,
to steer the astray life through the mist of maze isn’t easy.
When garden flowers turn pale, and pasture grass brown,
secret tears fill the infinite sea within for hopes to drown.
When the assigned road to travel is long, and the time finite,
the agitated mind loses focused vision of wisdom for insight.
The pathway turns into a river, curving the course of its own,
I sail sanguine to the ordained destination, not yet known.
I don’t measure the space, and the time, take the route as set,
across the stardust-draped nights, and the sunburst days, I get.
I don’t ask the purpose of the journey, for I won’t ever know,
travel along the valley of flowers and on the verdant meadow.
I don’t sink hope in deep abyss of despair, but travel content
on the segment of the new road I pave in my time present,
kindling in my mind a beacon of introspection to light the inside,
in the reflection I see the corridor to the abode of bliss to reside.

Tears were meant to be
as I travel along my journey
Tears of seeing the world
when I was just a little baby
Tears of crying
when I see my flowers dying
Tears of joy
when I got my first kinderjoy
Tears of goodbyes
when it would be my last days on earth
never without a doubt, never without a farewell.
