My Heart Turns Traitor

I wasn't ready to fall in love
didn't have the time
something inside turned on me
it sold me down the line
wasn't going to fall for love
I couldn't take the chance
my feelings got the better of me
and sold me on romance
didn't want to deal with love
it wasn't in the cards
emotions took a hold of my reins
they sold me to the stars
because my heart turns traitor
when you're around
my mind is made up
but my heart lets me down
and like a Trojan horse
inside the citadel
my heart opened up to you
and I fell

TRAITOR?

SARNIA FLOOR CROSS

LIB WIN CONSERVATIVE LOSS

SOME SAY GIVE HER TOSS

Traitor

I wanted to eat with you.
You moved your plate away.

I took a different seat.
You looked at me with disgust.
Traitor.

You haven’t allowed me to live beside you.
And when I found a corner to exist.
Traitor

You asked me to speak your language.
When I learned, you mocked. Go learn yours.
Traitor.

You laughed at my clothes.
When I dressed like you
I was blamed for copying.
Traitor.

You asked me to fit in.
When I tried, got blamed for no identity.
Traitor.

I want to know
Which version of me is allowed to belong?

Collaborator

The traitor
seized fond dreams
and rent my soul
on a hurdle of nails
hauling innocence
toward sour odours;
the steel nemesis
christened cosmetic
under searing light
and coerced oblivion.

Judged Differently

Why is it so hard to be an adult when it's finally my turn?
Why is corruption so wrong when none of you seem to learn?
It's only wrong when I do it, suddenly you're all in pain,
Yet when they do it in style, there's silence no shame
And sometimes it makes me question my worth when I vent,
Of all people, why me? What message is being sent?
I've caught them off guard more than once, I bet
But that one time I slip, I'm the traitor you won't forget.

Traitor

he sat beside me as a friend
while hiding his claws behind the back
and whenever i tried to reclaim my power
my bones were broken by the fate's plan

i never said no and allowed him
to commit the brutality
was it that i couldn't differ between truths and lies?
or i could never believe this new idea of him?

Give It To The Rain

Give it to the rain,
all of your hurt and your pain.
Watch as it belittles under a clap of thunder,
all of your hurt, disdained.

Scream it to the sky,
make it heard.
Let him know how much it hurt when you went through his phone.
His promises, like fallen leaves, scattered by the wind.

Look to the sea, give it the stare you gave him when you found out he was leading you on as if you were some game.

Listen to your heart, let it hurt,
but never let it change who you are for worse.

Listen to your mind,
even if your heart isn't ready to leave him behind,
Remember how much loving him hurt.

I'm back

Tempted into wrong way,
Diverse team held sway,
Keen fan did sag,
Boys had lost the flag,
Old team won, glory beamed,
Traitor was back, it seemed!

Hope is a traitor

The world is still spinning,
Still circling the sun.
It keeps moving,

Despite the tears.
Despite the pain.
Despite the losses.

As I climb, I wonder
Why?
As branches scratch my arms,
The leaves whisper “Why?” into my ears.
An ant crawls on my arm.
“Why?” It asks the beetle.
“Why do some die,
While others survive?”

“I don’t know.”
Answered the beetle
Sadly, watching the bombs
  Fall

                     Down

                                                Slowly
Onto the people below.
“I don’t know.”

My parents say to have hope.
Hope makes things better.
But I had hope once.
I had hope.
                                                              And hope betrayed me.

The people,
The victims of our crimes,
Buried six feet
Under

Did they have hope?

They did.
And how did that
Work out
For them?

Hope betrays,
And nobody stops to wonder why.

So I climb up,
Higher and higher,
Until the only sounds
Are the whooshing of the wind
And the empty promises of hope.

the dolled-up housewife

She’s a dolled-up housewife, poured with Honey’s money.
Only likes to glamp in secret; Meet her “Daddy”.
When stealthy escapes became her wild musings,
Each of those sleepless nights, she is slowly losing…
Her vows are filled with betrayal and deception.
Actions become an impure rage and obsession.
Breakfast lies are best served when the clock stops at six.
“Call me tonight and let me feel those warm licks”.
Oh, a dolled-up housewife poured with luxury!
Never cares to leave everything and say,
“Bye, bye, Honey.”

To the Traitor

I wish you all the best
for your treacherous success.
You think you have won the world,
but I will wait for my God's turn.
That's why the world is round,
the seed you've sown today
will later be surrounded
of you.
Yeah, I am among those few
who never seek revenge but let it in God's hand,
for I know HE shall take the stand.
Karma seems so late,
but it never forget.

A Hidden Traitor

A traitor due to being bribed
Abandoning doing the  will of God
And thinking being good and kind
Hiding from some people who heard
Your lies from some years and got tired.
It is up to you to Continue to disappear or change
Because these good people don't  challenge
Or provoke you but conscience hunting you daily.
Why? you aren't the first person to make mistake
Remember that God forgives people everyday.

I've called you here to break with me this bread,
to drink sweet wine and eat of peppered cod
None here a servant, each a friend, instead

Find on this board the boundless love of God
Come! Sit beside me now and eat thy fill,
while I wash from thy feet the earth you've trod

Though most here are intended of goodwill,
one man who would betray me joins us, too
So knowing, though, he's precious to me, still

Fate never altered course because one 'knew'
As such, I've called you here to say goodbye
Please love each other as I have loved you

And who lives by that love for which I die,
shall meet me in God's kingdom in the sky...

Maundy Money and Foot Washing

I
The Last Supper and Intimacy with Jesus
His humility in foot-washing, even of Judas
The Pope still does that for ordinary 12
Like communion for other few Protestants
But largely ignored for Friday and Sunday
What and why, Thursday as "Maundy"?

II
Maundy as in Commandment, from the LORD
As he set the example, before His arrest
Betrayed by Judas and my sins (John 3:16)
What precisely? To wash feet in humility?
Or to Love as he loved? Maybe both today?
But the Monarchs of England had warm traditions
To give Maundy money, often special coins minted
To as many citizens as there are years in age
Of the "ruling monarch" of Britain (till 1689)
Even foot washing by the King or Queen
It is fun and sad and wonderful: Maundy Thursday
Thank you LORD, shalom shalom, Peace to YOU
