God Said I Should Join Choir

tps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihJAJA4ibEs&index=14&list=RDOshpSD0z1ts

Be thou my vision.

God Said I Should Join Choir

Suppose I were to sing like this
So lovely being all full of bliss;
Music from my mouth flowing;
I sang out as it kept on growing.

God has been branch's full of fruit,
Extending deep down into the root,
And clouds in sky as they pass by,
While God only knows reason why.

Be in my each dream as I do sleep,
After counting each of God's sheep,
Who had been huddled in the cold;
Were found in a story that He told.

Happy I was and always have been;
Found by God and now free from sin,
While I will worship Him in his entire;
He even said I should join the choir.

Another Bare Foot--Collaboration

He watches her feet
creamy and bare
as she prepares herself for bed;

removing her robe
she stands for a moment in the gold
of light, while his eyes gaze
at her imperfect body, elated.

A beam radiating from her face
touches a male's spirit deeply,
and pulling back the covers

he touches her belly-- especially the belly,
full and round until she caresses
her man's face, then rests womanly limbs.

Surprised, another naked foot kicks
and leaves a deeper affection
within his heart...

“I'm barefoot and VERY pregnant”, she giggles

“just ecstatic as you are”, he whispers.

Premium MemberPoet - Your Cover Is Blown

It's with great sadness and a lot of discomfort that I write
about an issue that needs addressing and brought to light
Several poets have long known
about a poet whose cover is blown
and cheats by entering their own contests. That's not right.

What would you think of a poet entering contests of their making
and then winning high placements with names they are faking
That's stooping pretty low
I really wish it wasn't so
So I hope it comes to an end after this exposure and muckraking

                               *******************
It's not my intent to stir up trouble with this post, but in all good conscience I feel the need to inform all of you who write for contests that this has been happening for some time. This is not an act of bitterness or ill will, but if this poet reads this, know that if it doesn't stop I'll report you to TPS. I don't understand why a decent poet would do something like this.

Premium MemberA Gift of a Lifetime - To End On Saturday March 20th 2077

I’ve received an incredible gift
It has given my heart such a lift
But the date that I see
Is what now concerns me –
It’s the date I no longer exist!!!

Today I was gifted a 'lifetime' premium membership but it is somewhat disconcerting to see it ends on 3/20/2077. I hope TPS aren't psychic!!!!

My mother's great great aunt lived to 111 and 121 days and was in the Guinness book of records - I hope I am around a long long time to make full use of this incredible gift.

Premium MemberA Gift To Last a Lifetime

This morning I was notified by TPS that I had been gifted a lifetime premium membership and that the donor wishes to remain anonymous.

I have been given an incredible gift. A gift that cannot be wrapped in a pretty box with a bow but something I will cherish and use for the rest of my life - the gift of words on Poetry Soup.

It is impossible to put into words what I want to say to this amazing person. Thank you just doesn’t come close. I want them to know that I will use this gift wisely and will continue to learn and grow as a poet.

I try and make people smile with my humourous poems but today I can’t wipe away the smile I have on my face.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart

Hugs Jan xx

Premium MemberOn Bullying

Dear Reader,

There is low morale on TPS of late. I know this from several comments and personal messages. This is due to bullying. Bullies get away with their behavior because no one calls them out on it.

Please check out my blog on this issue.

Thanks,

Eileen

Premium MemberPress the Button

Now press that button, press it if you dare
Before you do that though, are you aware...
that when you press that button, you agree
That there are thought police; no one is free

Now God forbid that we should talk of s*x
For if we do, we'll be under a hex
You see freedom of speech is just a joke
Now poets with agendas all will "poke"

I wonder what her partner did to Eve
The Bible says to her Adam did "cleave"
Now what this translates to in modern day
Perhaps is worded "Rolling in the hay"

Explicit or implicit, oh what fun!!
Just use a metaphor or "s*x*y" pun
Be careful not to mention body parts
Or you will be "disbanded" from the arts

So, press that button! Press it! Let's all see
What will become of us and poetry....

Eileen Manassian

Tongue in cheek, people....tongue in cheek! At least it's not tongue in .......... Hmmmmmmmm!!!! ;) No, but seriously...I do understand the concern about this issue that has been brought up by TPS about Rules and Regulations. I don't mean to be sacrilegious with mention of Adam and Eve either...a bit of humor with a dash of concern and a sprinkling of sarcasm. ;)

Premium MemberI Have To Say Good-Bye - Part 3

My Imagination Wanders : To Be beside “YOU my Dearest Most Only Beloved Lenore”
Yet: I crawl through the crevices of the Graves, to Deep Craters, of my Living Hell
My Dearest “Nubbies“ , I was the Cribbage Champion ,the Day YOU Entered Glory
It’s so Black now, I can see the Scarlet Embers Leading me to the Lake of Flaming
                                     Blood Red Tears

All my Dreams of Heaven’s Glory, of Our "Eons FOREVER"; Will never touch my Eyes :
I’ve come, to an eerie meadow , where Black Flowers Bloom Shadows of FORGETTING
My Dearest Most Only Beloved Lenore, Your Scent in my nostrils; Voice in my Ears:
You keep me Warm, in the freezing, Flames of Hell; Your soft, Auburn hair in my hands

                                                           To be Cont.

There is no beating in this hollow, heinous Heart
Eternal empty eyes emitting, inexcusable iniquities
Jutting juxtaposed jackal jaws, tearing Love apart
Anathematize abandoned, always forgive Atrocities
This is how I live, how I grow, how I stay in control

Eternal empty eyes emitting, inexcusable iniquities
Where are you Love?, I Long for YOU, with LOVE so TRUE
I gaze into the Eyes of LOVE; I see the Darkness of Death
Yet my Heart can not Shed a Tear, For Eons of FOREVER
I Will ALWAYS and FOREVER, LOVE YOU, LENORE

I gaze into the Eyes of LOVE; I see the Darkness of Death
Jutting juxtaposed jackal jaws: Tearing LOVE Apart
Shredding the Heart, ripping away My LOVE : and my Breath
The Tears are Running Down my cheeks, for Hell’s dark Road I depart
My Eyes burn, covered with the Billows of the Smoke from Hell
