Now press that button, press it if you dare Before you do that though, are you aware... that when you press that button, you agree That there are thought police; no one is free Now God forbid that we should talk of s*x For if we do, we'll be under a hex You see freedom of speech is just a joke Now poets with agendas all will "poke" I wonder what her partner did to Eve The Bible says to her Adam did "cleave" Now what this translates to in modern day Perhaps is worded "Rolling in the hay" Explicit or implicit, oh what fun!! Just use a metaphor or "s*x*y" pun Be careful not to mention body parts Or you will be "disbanded" from the arts So, press that button! Press it! Let's all see What will become of us and poetry.... Eileen Manassian Tongue in cheek, people....tongue in cheek! At least it's not tongue in .......... Hmmmmmmmm!!!! ;) No, but seriously...I do understand the concern about this issue that has been brought up by TPS about Rules and Regulations. I don't mean to be sacrilegious with mention of Adam and Eve either...a bit of humor with a dash of concern and a sprinkling of sarcasm. ;)

World getting more restrictive every day. A thorny issue it is for sure. We want decency but drawing the line seems to be a very hard task as it will interfere with greater freedom of speech. Sadly some standards have to be set to prevent a totally vulgar free for all. Love your poem--you never fail with your poems..

Thank you, Robert. At the end of the day, this site is owned by people who set the rules themselves. I guess you could make an appeal if a you feel a poem is unjustly..."marked". However, it seems to me that if this goes on....it wont make it a site for me to stay on. I wish people would hit the button on poems and comments that are abusive and bullying in nature. Sensuality gets a bad rap and other things don't. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. I know there have been blogs about it. I'm glad you visited me. hugs

Yes, it sure does seem that way, doesn't it. Freedom of speech BUT....The think is, countries in my part of the world get a censured for not giving the populace the right to voice their grievances. A man who write about a certain religious leader is at risk for his life. There is a price on his head. This part of the world is all for Freedom of Speech and expression...it seems it be contradictory that these issues exist. Anyway...Thank you for your support and friendship, dear. Hugs

My finger is poised and ready lol - Eileen I am really delighted we finally have the report facility especially for very graphic sexually explicit poems I have seen posted here - definitely not suitable for what is a 'family site' I think common sense should be used in whatever we post:-) hugs jan xx

love that description of sex Eileen -it's when you get graphic descriptions of a sexual act I don't find it tasteful and it is there the line should be drawn - yes I agree there are many topics that could be deemed as being offensive - lets hope we don't have to use the button!

Oh Jan....I guess I could press the button on some poetry that is offense in other ways....too violent, too caustic, too pointed. Where will it all end? I'm sure several of my poems will be "censored". The thing is...where will it end. Poop? We all poop? Sex? We all have sex? ;) For poop, use the euphemism...discarded remnants of digested food...and for sex?....Hmmmmmm...the union of bodies in intimate giving and receiving of love? ;)

I love what you write about my poetry not being over the line, Jan. Thank you! I am sure I will get "reported". That's Ok. Things have been such lately......That would be the last straw. A friend has encouraged me to join another site....We will see! Hugs

Thanks, Paul....:) There has been some questions on content of poems so TPS has a blog up about it. The main issue seems to be about sensuality...not too much concern about profanity, or violence. TPS has put a report button on poems now, so any poet may write saying that your poetry is offense. I find it sad. I had blogs removed because somebody reported "religious" content though other such blogs weren't removed. This is going to be interesting. The world has gone topsy turvy. Thanks for the visit, dear.
