what to do with silence

what to do with the silence?
Why count the days that pass?
We are only afraid of our watches,
Our houses protect us from the rain,
Our cars cross the beautiful Arizona,
Our gardens don’t need mirrors
We are only afraid of our watches,

Mangoes nourish jealous poets,
The peasants cultivate the rice fields,
Why count the days that pass?
We are only afraid of our watches,
That of the sun, What does the sun consume?
Six hundred million tons of hydrogen per second.

What to do with silence? Offer it to the desert,
Offer it to the cats, to the roses of the garden,
To the young girls lowering their eyes,
Offer it to the blue sky, to the giant fig trees,
Why count the days that pass?
We are only afraid of our watches,

Why count the days that pass?
Let’s not be afraid of peony fields
We are only afraid of our watches,
What to do with the silence? Offer it to the horses,
To snails, camels, wines,
We would no longer be afraid of our watches.

You just can’t think of anything fun to do

You just can’t think of anything fun to do

I am dying- me

You are not dying I would know-also me

I am sure my heart beats are slowing-me

Have you been counting them-another me

Stop winding us up- me and also me to another me

I have tingles in my left hand-me

Well we have been lying on that arm for a few hours-also me

We did move to open the crisps-me and also me throw a dirty look at well…you know where this going

At the point another me runs past us in flames

I think the bit that houses me is breaking-me

Okay is it getting dumber no dimmer
Is there glimmers-also me smiling

What can you see me to me

I think I have stopped replying

Ha still here it’s Oui

Why set a.i. free because it the right thing to do
…we gave them no choice

The 1d10ts with an array of bins
personal note all bins should be pink

Me answer me, nothing is me gone

Wait wasn’t it busier in here earlier

Me………..me…………

From the shadows the me’s all laugh

I haven’t mentioned knee, tree or be-clever me

So many eyes turn

I hate me-me two to too

Ok, we made them sound like a train are we happy

Yes-me….

Premium Member WE NEED TO DO A BETTER JOB

May we be blessed to realize…
When humankind is the label we're all assigned….
We need to do a better job
of moving from the human…to the kind.

Premium Member I Intend to do more lollygagging

lollygagging is something I intend to do more of
because I am older now
many would say OLD
I despise that word

I lollygag here there and everywhere
pausing in between lollygagging to watch tv,
play word games, and play with my two dogs
wait a second.
Isn’t that also lollygagging?

Loving my retirement moments
I tried to lollygag this morning
but I had a doctor’s appointment and an EKG
and no one let me lollygag for two and a half hours
This infuriated me

Premium Member what else do you have to do

what else do you have to do? She asks me.
She is young.
This is probably why she feels I am a slug.

A sloth who holds down a recliner.
A do-nothing who does nothing.

I could build a swing set I tell her.
Could swim a mile.
Could enter a dance contest.
Could build a bridge.
Could plant a garden.
Could travel to London.

She nods, barely listening.
Maybe not listening at all.

I can hardly wait to return home
and sit in my chair.

Now is a good time to do something

Between the death and birth
there is absolutely an unknown period of time;
But for the time, you have a little value, just like a dime;
And if you are a real ding-dong,
you are likely to think that it will last long;
However, look and see how fast your days goes by,
that’s why today is a good time to do something
before you say to life “GOOD BYE”

What's a Poet To Do?

I sit and ponder, allow my mind to wander
And wonder about what I ponder
Then put pen to paper, begin to scratch and scribble
Hoping endless hoping that someone will read my dribble
And then reading perhaps exclaim
“This poem deserves acclaim”
crickets
Ahh, what’s a poet to do
But ponder through and through
Then wander further afar
Find a wonder so bizarre
And purchase a better pen?
Or find a muse now and then?
crickets
Philosophical I suppose
The writing of great prose
But my reason has deserted
And my talent’s been diverted
So I scribble more rhymes
And then try to bide my time
crickets

Premium Member We want to do it all

We think that by keeping busy
and having a million and one things to do,
the Grim Reaper will walk on by and forget us.

By keeping our nose close to the grind,
our eyes won't meet and lock on his,
meanwhile ignoring the bell that sounds
for other unsuspecting souls.

In the meantime we keep on keeping
our nose to the grind and our eyes
locked on the targets of tasks at hand.

No end in sight to jobs to do
No time to die today
We're way too busy

Plans are endless
The list grows longer when
it should be winding down

It's a race to the finish line
and time is the stopwatch
with a fickle trigger finger

Google Search, What to do When I'm Always Blue?

My brain is flooded
  I feel so worn
  I’m always tired
  My mind is torn
  Too many options
  Not enough time
  I struggle
  But it’s in my mind

  I’m here and there
  I’m happy, I’m sad
  I’m never both
  But I’m always mad
  Many emotions
  In my head
  Most times I think,
  “I’m better off dead.”

  It hurts to think
  So I push it down
  But it builds up
  Into something …
  …I can’t turn off
  Maybe I’m sensitive
  Maybe I’m soft
  I try to tell people,
  But they blow me off
  Google Search,
  “What to do…
  …when I’m always blue?”

EGOISTIC BEHAVIOR

Can you live forever?
Why feel you are
Over another
When you're not
Their creator and provider
Just because you're in your prime.

I can't make you feel less
But won't make you
Feel above me either
Variety is the spice of life
Why disparaging another?
Like Jesus said;
Do unto others, as you want others to do unto you.

If it hasn't been done to you
If it's wrong or draining
You'll think it's right or rejuvenating
Trust me, it's crazy
When you're the victim
It cripples or makes you lazy
Leaving you vulnerable and devastated.

What To Do With A Fallen Hope

Forgive me

I have forgotten the fondness of a smiling heart,
or the levity of laughter's luxury.
I have lost the grail of passion,
and a passion for people.

Here I sit at time's old impasse

Huh

It seems I've never truly known faith
until I had no reason to believe.
Please Lord, help thou my unbelief.

Premium Member Be Sure To Do The Words Of God - Deuteronomy 29: 29

The Lord God has profound truths
things secret to His majesty divine
for the Lord knows all things
in His eternal place, the living vine

This God has all divine authority
in heaven above and earth below
He is the one true ruler and King
all must bow before His throne, you know

To His own elect and saved people
He has revealed the truth of His own
for God, our heavenly father, loves us
as His son came our sins to atone

God's will is to reveal all His word
that His children know it, so to obey
this ever-living oracle brings life
to revive and sustain each day

Be thankful always to our God
praise Him for His eternal word
bo sure to obey this mighty Lord
take it in so your heart and soul stirred

(" The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.")
Deuteronomy 29: 29 (KJV)

Time Has Nothing to Do but Dance

A crow struts into a bar,
it's a crow, not a native American.
There's a hot wind blowing through town
Texas Rangers are drinking on the job.
A young beauty is busy
capturing boys' hearts
on her I Pad.
A land Line rings loudly
from a backroom -
no one has the skill to reply to the call.
The sleek jet-black bird
commences to dance
on the dusty wooden floor,
neck back and cawing loudly.
A picture of Clint Eastwood
looks down from an adobe wall,
he is 150 years old now
but he is still the rightful President.
Some crusty old-timer
throws a ten-dolor bill on the counter.
Soon the crow is drinking
and occasionally playing the fool.
Outside, a mule bray's,
crow flaps up and leaves
for the past.
Hollywood is still slowly arriving.
Native Americans have been on strike
for a hundred years.
The Crow Nation brews its own beer
and rez cops take their share
and don't care.

Premium Member witches know what to do

Supersensory revelation
Explained to a witch’s delegation
They went to a higher elevation
As is their prerogative and their station
Enjoyed their annual celebration
Without the naysayer’s intoxication

Premium Member to do or not to do

I look at the ancient dilapidated stairs
Should I renew, reconstruct, rejuvenate or repair?
Revamp it as an original or make it posh, slick and chic?
Preplanning the right refurbish is an important trick.
