A Ghosts Final Hour

It is the stars that will cry at this hour,
here I am, pouring my heart out.
Brilliant, is the perfect watch tower,
with a heavy heart, I do doubt.

Here I am, pouring my heart out,
to this world, just a ghost.
With a heavy heart, I do doubt,
an unseen life, leaning against the post.

To this world, just a ghost,
unconsciously, rising above the flame.
An unseen life, leaning against the post,
as a picture, without a picture frame.

Unconsciously, rising above the flame,
all my works here, done in the past.
As a picture, without a picture frame,
the memories of my life, will outlast.

All my works here, done in the past,
brilliant, is the perfect watch tower.
The memories of my life, will outlast,
I shall be remembered, in my final hour.

Some Other Day

Today is not the day to change,
I fear my heart feels rather strange,
For ever since the day did break,
I could not strain; my heart can't wake.

The sun burns bright, it swells my skin,
The birds chirp loud of mortal sin,
Although she's left, I long for Night,
We weep alone, away from sight.

Tomorrow's moon waits still below,
For me, the morning sun climbs slow,
But now I do not wish to start,
The task that yearns to quell my heart.

Though someday far, I must conclude,
This sullen life of solitude,
It cannot be this westbound gale,
That lifts my heart and fills my sail.

Silence

Believing the heart to be true to it's calling,
While wrapping it safely in caution's warm quilt,
Flying too close to the flame that entrances,
Hope's wings have been singed both by trust and by guilt.

Forging through pain that had sought to destroy her,
Enveloped in memories she wanders through time,
Revelling in feelings too distant to waken,
Provoking the heart to speak freely in rhyme.

Love can not lend her the courage to fight on,
Memories can't save her, nor send aid to bear,
They stand by her helplessly watching and waiting,
For silence to meet with her cowardice there.

She stands at the door, and yearns to step through it,
To the side of the threshold that pain can not touch,
Her heart beating ardently, longing for refuge,
But refuge at this point is asking too much.

Tomorrow may bring the resolve she so yearns for,
To stand up and walk as though none were aware,
Of the shame, and remorse she's allowed to enslave her,
To break free for all time from this prison of care.

The Heart of LOVE enveloped YOU and -- I
In the course of EVERLASTING LOVE I -- Failed
My minute blacken heart would not let you - In
Looking back through time I do see a Pure -- Life
The watches, Grandfather clocks of Time -- Running
Oblivious to the feeling of pain from Falling -- Down
Stumble over nothing along midnight Black -- Paths
Following an unseen grotesque horned being -- Leading
My uncleansed Soul across my Death’s river -- Toward
An Eternal Damnation living in a blazing Hot --- Hell

Lost Heart

A love adorn
Hatred skims the wall
A heart forlorn
And angels fall.

As days wear on,
Time passes by
A love so worn
Yet unable to travel
Over torturous miles ahead.

A heart scarred by hurt,
A love torn from trust,
Two hearts once won,
Are now only a loss
As one walks on
The other walks away

Smile

Today I was given the brightest smile,
From a friend who came to stay awhile.
Grace and Beauty was all I saw...
Strength and wisdom from the heart of Her soul.
And lifted I was, til I reached the Sun...
Lifted I Am by the Heart of One.

I reached for center, where Her Flower grew...
And was given a blessing to bring to You.
A soothing Wind from a cloud of snow...
A kiss of beauty from the heart of My soul.

No More

I saw you today…
You seemed okay.
My heart raced a bit…
The fire again you lit.

We spoke…
My soul awoke.
My love you did evoke…
But now I revoke.

After all of this…
You I still miss.
After, I did not feel a thing…
My heart did not sing.

I can’t recall what I felt…
When before, my heart would melt.
My heart was long ago claimed…
Now my heart I’ve reclaimed.

Fresh Grass Sonnet

I said that I would stay for evermore,
And shut my heart away where no one sees
But now I stand beside the open door
Here in the morning sun, to feel the breeze

With scents of flowers wafting down the hall.
And dancing motes of dust in sunbeams where
Their slanting fingers shine. I still recall
That far-off morning, and the scented air.

My heart escapes to where the birds still sing
But dreams no more of that which might have been.
I seek a future fate for time to bring
Fields of new-grown grass, fresh and emerald green.

Pastures new and painted with a different hue
Now with the world remade so bright and true

Time Beats On

Cut your bleeding heart out,
And place it on the ground,
For all those to look,
Deceiving those around,

Lock your bleeding heart in a box,
And give it to those in need,
Hold back all of the tears,
Block out all of the debree,

But does your bleeding heart deserve to be protected?
Given and taken from the wrong,
The wrong notes and words,
That now make up your love song,

Shatter your dreams with your bleeding heart,
Prove the innocent of their hate,
Fall to your knees and expire,
As hopelessness always indicates,

Stay up late with your bleeding heart,
And discover the truths of your veins,
The blood is soon to run dry,
Bringing back all of your pains,

Your bleeding heart cries for my blood,
But you’ve already given it all away,
Wasted it all of the wrong,
Causing panic and then decay,

You begin to hate your bleeding heart,
The innocent can’t renew your soil,
It’s Your veins, Your soul,
That are running out of oil,

Cut your bleeding heart out,
And lock it in a box,
Listen to every single beat,
With it, you’ll never be lost

Big Secret

I keep a big secret locked up inside
I try my best to keep it and hide
To try to keep the identity of my bride
Still in my heart she will always reside
My sweet lovely lady, my eternal bride
Woman who is source of my joy and pride

I will love her until my last breath
And even if I have to hide I will never fret
Loving her is something I will not regret
Her beauty my heart will not forget
In time there will be no more threat
Even if I came out with my big secret
