When I saw her
I became aware
Of the Earth's gravity
And my mass tethering my body
To this rock in space

I am as fragile as butterfly wings
but it is time to cut tethering strings,
open the cage door to set myself free,
for if I should choose to stay,
what will become of me?

The dark night of the soul
The light fades, you fade away.
Hopes never lasting, as it's fake.
Doubt, the demon, wraps around your heart.
Tears your soul from you, plays a cruel part
Filling the empty sound with forgettable words and laughter.
A hallowed echo in this vacant place.
Fading from existence, joy.
Soon shadows replaced that space in your soul.
A flicker remains in the abyss.
A Sparkle of truth that eases our pain.
The plight is needed to capture you.
Tethering your soul to mine.
From the ashes, a Phoenix will rise.
Wiser and renewed.
The darknight, a bittersweet rest.
To emerge reborn, forever blessed

staying afar from the people I love…
the fear is starting to creep in slowly ..
at times with the sound of a phone ringing
the heart’s rhythm of mine touching the skies..
also sometimes searching unjustly,
locking your eyes at the screen
with the time blaring off behind…
speeding fast with the images
in not so kind of a mind
knowing whispers of the wind couldn’t carry
the weight of the times
for the roots spread too long
yet greedily wishing on tethering the family’s love
& anchoring the friendships,
all being away from the sea
just about helplessly hoping to hold onto,
and to never stopping myself from
casting the lines to the stars
while still steering through the squalls
awaiting whatever comes through next

Ocean waves crash against the seashore
you inhale and suddenly you are no more
than a hint of spice on a hot summer day
Water droplets mingle with the salty smell
of the sea, ... you are sitting next to me.
Reflections of our yesterdays come together
tethering nicely like an old knitted sweater
Blanketed moments of us nothing else exists
except the salt, the sea, the air we breathe
and thoughts of you, sitting next to me.
With great density we dip inside the waters of life
only to burst forth, almost touching eternity...
The shimmering moon bids us hello, leaving behind
an endless thrilling after glow.
Murmurings from mermaids at sea put us in a
drunken state. ..
Together drawn to the secrets of the night,
we sit side by side watching the deep blue sea
I watching you, and you watching me...

I am flowered in the shade of bird wings
neath patch of deep sadness absent of clouds
beholden to loosen memories mist filtered
cell charged energies their liberal release
bars that separate the spirited guardians
of fortitude held till dawn gilded rays shone
on the levy's shoreline thrashing waves
tethering the oceanic breezes crowning the
curling tops of surf swirling foams that
champion a sandy blackened shorelines
surging and receding in merciful coiling
of rejuvenating wetness where beached
life shoots to recapture folds of a fragile
domain as the briny seawater air loops
loosely stretch o'er the isles beckoning
the suds of waves and coconut thuds fall.

No human venture reign o'er nature's craft
of snuggled boughs transcend, amid a spawn
quandary mist, ... in its wake afar drawn
out kiss, in dawn's rise, amends of soft draft
weaving loosely, threads strung in an air shaft
that untangles the roundabout, anon
tethering creation, that hope ... is on
horizon's touched beaming flows from life's raft.
A spectrum cast shared wavering, ideal
longing gifts passage designer imprint
patterned tapestry divine, hail freedom
drop spills, lifts splash, sowing ... growing appeal
anticipant, of Heavenly blueprint
came a-calling, was a man called, Adam.

Forget-me-nots share sighs of For-Heaven-sake's,
from boulevards to avenues, the streets -- speak.
City park use strengthens, as the day lengthens.
Doves charming swarms of drakes, tethering the lakes,
while the awesome vision enlightened the crowds,
frequent strolls beneath middays consoling breaks.
Wandering drifts of cloud-swept vistas abroad.
Smooth gushing sounds that the family film takes
of the small falls that meanders down the creek.
As the day lengthens, city park use strengthens.
Silence climbs, Forget-me-not steads mid handshakes.

When they made Humpty Dumpty
He turned out to be grumpy
Because of his fragile state
He's not to make a mistake
A padded path, made for him
Full of cotton, thick not thin
He must go only this way
He wants the opposite way
But it's dangerous we say
Stubbornly he climbs the wall
We begged him that he would fall
So tethering there he sat
He told everyone to skat
His look was not like before
It seems he wants to ignore
As the town tried to implore
He had a new agenda
His life is so delicate
So this is how things will take
Unhappy was he
He said one, two, three
And fell openly
into smithereens
All the kings horses and all
the kings men couldn't put
Humpty together again

If there'd be a crawlspace big enough for
a mouse to fit through, it will be no worth
for measured do one pleasure of a dearth
will be a great loss to all concerned more
Findings of a soul well depth is of choice
to best contemplate the resolve pressing
the fleeting passage of time jams healing
trends insurmountable odds, less a voice
Quietude crunches, replace nervousness
and snaps a cranium continued grounds
tethering edges e'er relinquished sounds
of wakes are suitable bite less nerves us
Hope claims honorable desperate needs
results 'wish' that expectation succeeds.

Forgiveness ...
usually has no beginning
and an end that is equally so,
where self admonishment
resonate from errs
hollow search for resolve,
when blameworthy
takes center stage
and the fault claims clueless
to absent wisdom,
tethering furtherance
of the unresolved,
as more clouds
obscure the wholeness
of the picture,
that only the passage of time
enjoys the moments of its waste,
and all the while
at the far end
of a darkening hole,
the edging of a tunnel
stands a true friend
who has a name ...
... waiting.

KJV: Isaiah 2:4, " ... they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks:" ... by Isaiah son of Amoz re last days of Judah & Jerusalem
Insomuch, the northern rains be as brief,
and the winds tear the southern plains relief,
sobeit, that the realm is the victim,
and the seas rise as victor; its dictum,
praise be not the state claim of righteous earned,
challenge naught by singularity spurned,
howbeit, by a greater force yon ours,
deliver its wrath on the land it scars,
then sheath the swords of heartless warriors,
in their mildness find besprent carriers,
and restore the misty dew dawn's embrace,
while tethering the plains a moistures grace,
and hail the dutious guards their former posts,
and the forces that be, as the realms host's.
