Johari window;
no one can see through this pane,
where I make my decisions.
my thoughts ala carte,
and not all desirable,
sussed out in my universe;
perplexing to me.
sift through so many pages -
childhood habits and missteps.
when faith came my way,
how divine the candlelight,
the Spirit lighting my path.
electrifying,
sword of positivity
discerning my every word.
don’t always listen
to the reproof; button up.
shame’s not a place to live. look
up to God’s grace; bow
down in that out of sight place;
forward march into glory.
sometimes there are storms:
depression, obsessive fraughts.
I pray through it; God’s faithful.
lingering in brain,
too long, could drive me cuckoo;
get in, get out, get moving.
inner voice, I must control.

Humans never fail to shock or surprise me
When l think l have them sussed
Human behaviour at its best or worst
Fills me with both joy and disgust
There is so much goodness in this world
Kindness toward our fellow man
Yet ,incredible selfishness and hate
Impossible to comprehend
I do not view life through rose coloured glasses
I just try to focus on the positives and kind
Not always easy to achieve
If not …..l would simply lose my mind!

It’d been a long day at work
So he sat in the sun
Enjoying the beer he’d earned
The day finally done
Closing his eyes he relaxed
When a persistent peep
Interrupted his dreaming
And he started from sleep
A brown and grey sparrow
Was in a tree nearby
Twittering and fluttering
Darting round in the sky
He magnanimously
Heard the internal call
To build a home for his friend
It would take no time at all
He had wood he could use
Although it had a twist
And it was rotting too
So he added to a list
Along with a tape measure
And extra nails, in case
Also, the saw was rusty
Another thing to replace
An expensive trip later
He had all he required
In fact, he had more -
His card almost expired
Building the box began
He slaved under the sun
Then slapped on some paint
And at last it was done
The bird glanced at the box
And immediately sussed
It was substandard housing
It flew off in disgust
So he was left with the bird box
All wonky and empty
It had cost him $350 -
Bunnings had them for $20

Justice for All
time marches on
reality's fire consumes—
dreams go up in smoke
Dishonest weights, deceptive scales forsake
as chains of injustice rake the flesh
of the preyed-upon bleeding, amid wild
wolves feeding, soft sheep bleating,
protestor's pleading, jurisdictions cheating,
cajoling, wheedling, injustice repeating—
jurisprudence at the confluence
of affluence and influence
~undocumented lies exhumed
unmitigated truth entombed~
They have their thumb on the scale! We
have sussed every detail on the field of
debris, some so fiercely taking a knee,
others shot trying to flee! "I can't breathe,"
"I don't care!" Why don't they care?
Of what justice is meting beware!
One higher than the highest is watching,
waiting to signal the one riding to conquer
and complete his conquest. What's the true
future view? What more can we do
before we become past tense?
tragedies worldwide
flooding my senses daily—
fill my bag of tears

There's mountains to climb
to be a star,
there's rain afore
apperance of rainbow in the sky
there's town destroyed
before the land sound echoed
there's wall to fall
to enter into land of jericho.
you have to be david,
because there's giant to fight,
you have to be like samson
before you heavy load can become light.
there's gonna be uphill battles,
and sometime you have to lose;
i think you gained more knowledge
about what you have sussed.
you have to submit and you have to bow
for he's your crown and what God has choose to be your lord,
you have to be broken and re-made
there's new life to live in marriage.
it's true what God has joined together
let no man put asunder,
the metals that welder weld together
why did it bend and lose i ponder.
wife submit to your husband

Why is there so much distrust,
Fueling hatred, malice and lust?
We're caught up in every scam's gust
Leaving many financially bust
Including telemarketers' thrusts
Continuously feeding disgust
We're riding social media's cusp
Allowing real friendships to rust
Causing us to constantly adjust
Leaving us completely nonplussed
Making too many tasks a must
Till we nigh spontaneously combust
Perhaps leaving God's Word thus,
On the shelf gathering dust
This matter needs to be sussed
Not with haphazard zeal but robust
By a brotherhood of people we can trust
With a worldwide campaign to discuss
Preventing impending zero-sum bust
Before we're all planetary dust

We all want to be liked
To have people see
The version of ourselves
We choose to be
And say, yeah
That's someone I admire
I aspire to be like
We all want someone
To look back on
The snapshots we've accrued
Over years of holidays,
Boozy nights,
And picture perfect food
And say, look
Here's someone who got things sussed
We all want someone
To validate our lives
To comment that we're doing just fine
You're great
You're pretty
Your smart
Well, I guess that's a good start
We all want someone
To click that damn thumb
And validate the effort
Of keeping the mask on

It's the people that we meet
And the memories we make along the way
That makes our lives worth living
Each and every day
If we see a lonely soul
As on our way we go
It doesn't take much effort
For you to say hello
Say to them `have a nice day'
And really hope they do
And if they say it back
It makes you feel good too
Try to lend a helping hand
In any way you can
One good turn deserves another
From our fellow man
If you are taken for granted
And constantly go out of your way
To make others lives easier
But your favours they don't repay
Remind them who was there for them
When they were in their hour of need
With no roof over their heads
And with tiny mouths to feed
They'll tend to have a short memory
And forget everything that you've done
If you let them stress you out
They'll think that they have won
So give out your favours wisely
And be careful who you trust
And make sure your enemies know
That you have got them sussed
So cherish the good people that you meet
And the memories that you make along the way
And make your life worth living
Each and every day

ECHO OF JAN'S POEM
-----------------------------------------
What is this muse Jan writes about,
I have tried to peek in her cupboard
To let it out.
The lock is on, drat what shall I do
Have to find another way, hmmm that’s true
Of course Jan I have it sussed
What a fool I am to make such a fuss
Where I live our days don’t end in a y
I will inform Jan, well will give it a try
Please dear Jan
Let me rescue your muse
don't know what to do if you refuse
if you agree
can *Dydd Sadwrn be when I set it free

“Quick smart struck onion!
You metronomous fishy tail!
You’ll not be taken in by me,
you fraudulent legume!”
I seemed to have soundly unsettled her
Set her mind cross firing, flailing
But it’s not such a thing to be nettled for
No reason for wail and paling
“Quick, smart, lush young-one!
You’re melodious, pithy, hale!
I’m already taken much with you;
please do let me resume!”
Still I unbloomered my hand and bloused it
Found her skin a singin’ an’ tinglin’
Thrilled firm and brazenly arouse-ed
Her dissent clearly dissemblin’
“Oh quick, start, rush lovin’!
My ‘band’s a louse, gritty, stale!
But he’ll not be taking long from now,
or so we should assume!”
That’s when I heard an unsettling foot step
Eared hobnail booting scooting
And so sought out the exit I 'ad free kept
Flash fear foul intention mooting
Quick; dark, hush, re-button!
Your ‘band sussed our betrayal!
I’d best be taking my leave ‘bout now,
I’ll see you in no time soon!”
