they are the brick and mortar of your reality

I did not summon these thoughts—they arrived already breathing,
wrapped in the salty cloak of silence, like relics
rising from the forgotten graves of someone else's ruins,
where echoes dance like spirits in the twilight of forgetting.
They shape themselves in silence—carved by unseen hands,
hands that know my marrow better than my own soul,
molding clarity from the fragile bones of thought,
like a sculptor finding his masterpiece within the heart of stone.
Some come dressed in burning fire, others crawl slowly,
with moss grown over their silent mouths, whispering tales
from a world where time loses its shape in shadows,
and yet, I welcome them all, like a temple of forgetting.
My mind is not a womb, but a tomb struck by lightning,
each arch an unfamiliar memory, a dream lived by someone else,
each window a belief carved in ancestral dust,
where the wind whispers legends from a world before time.
And in the deepest chamber, beyond words, beyond light,
there is an unseen sculptor who still silently carves thoughts,
from the remnants of what I was, from the ashes of an old self,
creating forms from the shadow that stretches over my eternity.

To this blank page I summon the Muse,
I’ll give you time if you give me fire;
Electrify my pen light that fuse;
Whisper in my ear let us conspire,
where shall we venture to today?
To say I don’t want you I’d be a liar;
Make my thoughts and words sway
with playful phrases not heard before;
It’s even money no need for a parlay;
Heat lightning is impossible to ignore
let’s capture the world and shake it’s core.

When does one rash courage summon
To do a thing quite uncommon
Like king David's son, Amon:
The negatively uncommon
One wouldn't link with Solomon
Nor with the Quite Normal Human
With no business with Mammon ?
Carthage's Hannibal against Rome,
When snow should have kept him at home?
The courage one would never kill,
Until one has climbed Begging Hill;
While one won't want at all to feed,
Because there's a voice one must heed...
From either Lord God or Mammon
And one ready for uncommon;
Listened I have to a Carmen:
A hit track about true women
The penetrating look from their eyes
Up a lot of men's power dries.

Oh great divide you stand to look at me
while I on bended knee grope for you
between this world and the next
we are like ocean book ends ,
meeting in the center of the Universe ;
Oh great depression you are killing me
offhand remarks ingrained in my psych
your a wedding band on my finger
and joy can never ring us
when our hearts meet, we suck air ;
Oh great divide why can't we feel
the day we married we had the flu
between our worlds there is no next
we are like rivers running wild
meeting only through the great divide
Anger, I summon you then squelch you,
what is a broken heart to do, I ask you?

When there's nothing but the darkness,
We must summon something greater,
Not restrained within a harness,
But to release as its creator...
Through the desert storm of misery,
When the ground begins to shake,
As you recall upon the history,
That has found your last mistake...
Giving meaning to a consequence,
That had turned our last intent,
So conveniently the opposite,
Of what we truly may have meant...
But you feed on that aggression,
As it slowly come's to life,
Which doesnt need a last confession,
To precede your last of rights...
Till you become the very entity,
That you keep within arms length,
So your soul becomes what meant to be,
Turning weakness into strength...

IS HE ME?
Today, whichever man is now with you
Whoever is doing that which we used to do
Whoever gets to feel what I once felt
I hope he appreciates the sexy, sylphlike and svelte
To whomever your heart has now been led
Whatever man now shares your bed
I’d give him the following information
You get my unrivaled recommendation
Does he worship you as a goddess at once born,
and treat you just like an angel foresworn?
Does he now know what I knew at one time,
and does he realize he sleeps aside the sublime?
Is every day an adventure like the ones we once shared,
back when I still mattered and when you still cared?
Do you play in the surf like we did in bare feet,
and as I did does he bless the day you both came to meet?
Are you as comfortable with him as you were with me?
Or will you burn him like you burnt me in effigy?
Did you swear your lasting allegiance with a sip of sacramental wine?
Or will you implode his world the way you exploded mine?

Batman had an "industrial flash light"
Made in order to get his attention,
And it did manage to light up the night,
But it is not even worth a mention.
The Sonnet Man has Twitter and Facebook
And Myspace, just in case you can not tell
That you can reach me anywhere you look,
Or can reach me by electronic mail.
So, my computer will always be on,
And the excitement will emerge in me,
However, I may or may not respond,
Whenever there is an emergency.
The Sonnet Man is a man of the times,
Just do not ask me to fight any crimes.

Bloody Mary,
Bloody Mary,
Bloody Mary,
O' so scary.
Putting mortals,
to the test,
come on out,
at my request.
Bridge the gap,
that is between,
all that is,
and everything.
I call upon,
a Bloody Mary,
being of vengence,
O' so scary.
Come forth,
into the light,
of this night,
so to serve me,
and to help,
me with my fight.
