Summer sunset

This sunset in the Summer sky

The beauty of it all makes me want to cry

Reminds me of our walks late at night

Sometime we even walked till it was daylight..

Wish you were still here
 to walk with me
 it's never been the same.!!

Premium MemberWoods

We walked through the woods and saw piles
of cut timber waiting in well made bails
the narrow path meant we walked in file
onward down until we came to a stile
which lead us on for another mile
the beauty of the woods bowel
was high lighted in many styles
we listened to many bird calls
as we travelled through the dales

Premium MemberSummer Garden

Is a rose of red, or white just a rose?
they have the scent to hypnotize us all,
some flowers’ scent like jasmine's is intense,
reminds me of romance in the nightfall.

Beauty of the orchid, lei and ginger,
Appreciated by a butterfly,
Also loved, how intricate their figure!
spellbound, they hover and adore, and fly.

I walk around my garden and my field,
Admire petunias and marigold,
the birds of paradise - divine their path,
Daisies, dahlias bring heaven to this earth.

Sunflower and pansy look so pretty,
feel like watching them in summer daily.

I love my summer garden that brings peace, the beauty of the flowers is divine; hues mingle in purple, gold and cerise, and I adore the vines that curl and twine ! The trees leaves tremble in a gentle breeze, within their gnarled branches hidden birds sing; and what would summer be without the bees, I love the hummer's and each pretty wing ! Not far a stream is bubbling on its way, and a wildflower field is so serene; God created for me this perfect day, where I am bathed in beauty with each scene ! I go to the sun and the ocean crash; where the waves roar at me and on rocks smash !

The fairs, the carnivals,

Games to play, prizes to win!

The glory of warm, summer, wind.

Children in their glory in sandals.

The beauty of dreamy skin.

This season is a win.

Boat rides in mystic lakes.

The lighted piers ashine.

Moments, indeed, divine.

Summer-dreams drift our way.

Are you ready for this dream?

Premium MemberSummer Love

If only I could gorge in your lavender scent,
Or fondly nestle in your warm, loving embrace.
Understand that “I love you” is really meant
Let me gaze and wonder the beauty of your face.

A wan moonlight summer beam shines on your body,
I sit near a window pondering about love.
Your flimsy nightdress is anything but gaudy.
I hear your sighs whisper to the stars high above.

Elation squeeze my poor heart, how can I depart
And leave you all alone without my dearest care.
You are the epitome of love in my heart,
I could dance on summer waves all so soft and flair.

Summertime is long, winter seems so far away.
So stay with me, my beauty, let's not lose one day.

The scents of Summer take my breath away
like honeysuckle clinging to the vine
whose blossoms show in redolent display
as tiny tendrils to my heart entwine.

The brushing breezes of a summer’s morn
that softly run her fingers through my hair
and beckon me, as sunlit skies adorn,
to follow dearest dreams of days so fair.

She comes into my life with open arms
while following on heels of stormy skies,
and shares with me the beauty of her charms
that show so clearly through her azure eyes.

With sunshine streaming down its balmy beams
this lovely lady, Summer, fills my dreams.

Then and Now

Then, I did not know that you were there
or miss the slight confusion of your hair
or think about your gracious smile
while pausing by brook a while

Or wandering under cloud-blown skies
did not recall the beauty of your eyes
when walking in the woods in June
through green-filled Summers in full bloom.

I did not think of how you walk
or of the music of your talk
(so like sunlight among flowers).
Now, strolling over fields for hours

I forget what once had been
your beauty in my heart has so grown
you now are all the Spring times I have seen
and all the Summers I have known.

SUMMER BREEZE

Watch the leaves shimmering on the trees
Being brushed by a gentle summer breeze

The breeze that blows across the meadow fair
Bringing a fragrance far beyond compare

The birds are singing a summer lullaby
Hush now little baby don't you cry

The breeze that blows across the meadow fair
Bringing a fragrance far beyond compare

See the beauty of a summer sky so blue
Feel the summer breeze it brings to you

The breeze that blows across the meadow fair
Bringing a fragrance far beyond compare

Summer nights fireflies show their glow
Still the gentle summer breezes blow

The breeze that blows across the meadow fair
Bringing a fragrance far beyond compare

The beauty of the varnished moon, a flame so wondrous to behold with light surrounding trees and hills in velvet ribbons of crimson-gold: Though August beams illuminate Along a ride over the sea it mirrors this heat’s waning gleam Diffusing one last potpourri. Gone is the luster of summer’s blaze just frail embers quivering low… and melting like an ice cube tray when Fall arrives without a glow. Darkness comes with an epilogue, Winds hush as the sun disappears I open my secret box …empty , Till mild rain falls silent as tears.

Summer is coming to an end
Time to make the best, of last days
Fun in the sun and time with friends

To capture the warmth of the rays
Enjoy the days to be outside
Time to make the best, of last days

Soon, summer is ready to hide
Build memories to take with you
Enjoy the days to be outside

Relax with fresh air passing through
Have fun with nature all around
Build memories to take with you

Remember the sweet summer sounds
It is a special time of the year
Have fun with nature all around

Rest in the beauty of the season here
Summer is coming to an end
Happiness is for a reason near
Fun in the sun and time with friends

As days become longer
Warm air blankets our skin
The sky feels more open
Something new is to begin.

What could be anything
Our destiny unknown
In the air is a freshness
New souls will be born.

With each moment singing
It's own unique tune
The open seas lift us up
We become one with the moon.

To laugh, breathe
Love and simply be
The beauty of summer
When we are happy and carefree.

Sun, with its halo at our skyline's edge
where burnished gold meets rays of orange glow,
as though almighty God was standing there
bestowing blessings on His field of green.

The field of green with cattails standing tall
like arms raised high to praise His glowing love;
embrace the wonder of this summer sight
of Sun that brings another brand new day.

The splendor of the sunrise is His song
that sings the beauty of its light and warmth;
this power of the life it brings to earth,
can only be the mastery of God.

Let's raise our arms like cattails in a field,
and praise that halo at our skyline's edge,
as though Almighty God was standing there-
in thankfulness for all His gifts of Earth.

Waxed Darkness – for contest

Her eyes distilled the beauty of the sunset
reflecting the innocence of peace.
Sweet redolence of salted breeze
teased the tongue
to lick the sensuous mist,
danced amid pine cone wind chimes.
She blinked – eyes softly closing
savoring the delicacy of
warm summer light fading
under waxed darkness.

When I am under summer's spell,
I'm like a child at "Show and Tell".
I want to hold it in my hand,
To brag and shout, "Is it not grand?"
In other seasons I'm discreet.
I don't go skipping down the street.
The beauty of a sunny day
Takes my maturity away.
I quite regress to my past youth.
I'm young again and that's the truth.
I dream this February day,
Beneath inverted clouds of gray,
Of blazing sun and summer heat
And browning to a golden treat.
I yearn for sun upon my skin,
The warmth of summer seeping in.
Vitamin D my ardent crave,
I plan to bottle it to save.
In my Northwest home's winter haze,
I will still have my sunny days.
