Summer
The scents of Summer take my breath away
like honeysuckle clinging to the vine
whose blossoms show in redolent display
as tiny tendrils to my heart entwine.
The brushing breezes of a summer’s morn
that softly run her fingers through my hair
and beckon me, as sunlit skies adorn,
to follow dearest dreams of days so fair.
She comes into my life with open arms
while following on heels of stormy skies,
and shares with me the beauty of her charms
that show so clearly through her azure eyes.
With sunshine streaming down its balmy beams
this lovely lady, Summer, fills my dreams.
