Timeless existence

Where does this come from, and what is our job in this incomprehensible subsistence?
The answer is unknown, but the reason exists and it’s anonymous, its life secret; the planner
But we are in his galactic network like axons and single cells in his endless and perfect mind

Hmm, maybe I am an electrical flow of information in his mind, in this incredible universe
I don’t know the answer, but flying in the galaxy is an amazing journey, just fly in life far
My spaceship is an ark, a fragment of Noah’s Ark, floats in three dimensions of space

A fragment of Noah’s Ark? No, it’s a lifeboat only. What means, is it? Life never stops
Never, but I am homeless in space, I must find a new planet, a new ancient living world
And live the life of existence, God will give me from my bone a lady to start a new life.

Premium Member Society and Politics

The two intrinsically interlinked aspects
of human subsistence, society and politics,
design the fundamental tenets of world order,
that regulates the dynamics of human coexistence.

The contextual norms and values of society
depict the evolving pattern of political topography
with the transforming architecture of public opinion,
fabricated by the community environment and culture.

The structure of the political system entwined
inseparably with societal fabric of race and gender,
harmoniously connects with the collective hierarchies,
deciding the course the nations will take in the future world.

Premium Member Nature's Stern Warning

Extreme temperatures
Melting of glaciers
Rising sea level
Wildfires
Forests' obliteration
Draughts
Drying up of lakes and rivers
Desertification
Hurricanes
Storms
Floodings, and
Landslides
Is the vocabulary, Mother Nature uses, to
Pen ts stern warning to Man:

" Oh, you thoughtless being, mind your ways and revere,
my eternal laws of harmonious cooperation and coexistence
otherwise, unable would I be to provide for your subsistence."

For more than two weeks the temperatures in Greece have been around
40 Celcius. Sometimes, like today it is 45.
During this period wildfires are raging across the country. It comes a day that
our firefighters are trying to contain more than eighty fires.

Premium Member The Extra Mile

How difficult is it to smile,
to hold a friend’s hand for a while,
choosing to walk the extra mile?

Let’s shed our resistance.

Let’s take life slow and gently flow,
awakening our inner glow,
assisting those we meet to grow.

Love is soul’s subsistence.

Life’s a gift but we roam adrift,
so time’s now to give soul a lift,
by a simple consciousness shift.

From God there’s no distance.

Premium Member God, the Source

God, the source of our existence,
The force behind being aware,
Can't live without His assistance
Can't breathe without His love and care,

He gives us strength, troubles to bear,
He's our much needed subsistence,
Can't survive without grace and pray'r,
God, the source of our existence,

Feelings rise on His insistence,
He gives us courage in despair,
He's the cause of our consistence,
The force behind being aware,

With Him, every thing we can share,
God doesn't love us from a distance,
He's always with us, ever there,
Can't live without His assistance,

Who can escape His persistence?
On the cross, His love does declare,
Need to give up all resistance,
Can't breathe without His love and care,

He has birthed us, we are His heir,
Faith in Him helps coexistence,
Our very breath is His affair,
No denial, non-resistance,
God, the source.

Premium Member Why Are We Here

Here, in the womb of existence
We are alive but know not how
Why from God do we feel distance
As each morn, to the sun we bow

Trapped within mind-body matrix
Here, in the womb of existence
We engage in inane mind tricks
Discontent with life's subsistence

We're here on our soul's insistence
That we may learn to grow in love
Here, in the womb of existence
Is our chance to be the peace dove

We're always, at each moment free
If we choose to end resistance
Life play then is a jamboree
Here, in the womb of existence

Galactic Embrace

Five hundred twenty million light-years far
from Earth a meld of galaxies has spread
its multi-arms wide open ‘midst the star
Orion cluster in its wedded thread.
With limbs outstretched, in stellar reach enmeshed,
the astral realms seem grouped in fondness spree,
by constant star formation e’er refreshed,
as if united through affinity.
Mankind’s subsistence may revolve around
embrace of nature’s procreations rife
in cosmic regions or on earthly ground
a wakened sense of reverence for life.
That human beings be humane is key.
Could spheres celestial teach us harmony?

~ Harley White

The poem is in sonnet form…

Some sources of inspiration were the following…

‘The ethics of reverence for life makes no distinction between higher and lower, more precious and less precious lives. … How can we know what importance other living organisms have in themselves and in terms of the universe?’
~ Albert Schweitzer (1875–1965)

Explanation: The Hubble image shows LEDA 17532, a multi-armed galaxy merger some 520 million light-years away in the constellation of Orion.

The Market Sellers

An hour before dawn,
the market people arrive
then settle like nestling birds
beside the Ping river.

Girls squat over large straw hats,
hats brimful of dried chilies
or small freshwater fish.
They lay down bamboo mats
laden with okra, aubergines, mangosteens
and rambutan.

They are not from Chiang Mai
but are a Thai hill peoples,
villagers that have cycled through the night
to bring their produce here.
Carefully they wrap your choices
in newspaper bundles tied
with red raffia.

They offer this livelihood to us
with modest smiles.
A daily subsistence parceled with a grace
that can be felt as a currency, a simple act
of transference.

A few coins are exchanged.
The barter and haggle
of a busy city market is absent here
just the affable contact
of a hand to hand correspondence.

A mutual recognition
of the rivers that join us
and the oceans between.

Premium Member Sifting Time

always questions always apprehensions
in the process of getting through this life
begins with stunning realization
there is more to this universe than I
flows through doubt and self-examination
into a struggle to simply get by

following rules truly all that there is
why not search for something much more than this
try to find meaning within existence
beyond the needs for basic subsistence
reach for some form of common human cause
beyond doubs tears fears and need for applause

seeking that which is right which is most wise
avoiding the urge to antagonize

Premium Member Love In the Spirit Realm Ii

I reverence you here, away from fire and grime.
Where no life claim, no earth rule, no dominion
You and I are tethered within a spiritual sublime.
Wind and seas stop inside the realm of opinion

Where no life claim, no earth rule, no dominion.
When nothing prevailed before our subsistence.
Wind and seas stop inside the realm of opinion
I admire you here, in the domain of real essence.

When nothing prevailed before our subsistence.
Ringed by embers that shatter, sear, and refine.
I admire you here, in the domain of real essence.
Where orchids bloomed amid the ash and shine.

Ringed by embers that shatter, sear, and refine.
When fall breezes carry melancholy to its abode.
Where orchids bloomed amid the ash and shine.
Where subtle veils of snow through valleys strode.

When fall breezes carry melancholy to its abode.
You and I are tethered within a spiritual sublime.
Where subtle veils of snow through valleys strode.
I reverence you here, away from fire and grime.

Insignificance

Is there something so unique about us
It must be studied
Rats in a maze
Trapped between testing success and error
Predictable responses to critical impetus
The same trickery carefully edited
For the next information gathering phase
Caught between a fortune and a failure

Rats in a maze
The monkey in a box
Predictable programming for gaining essentials
Problem solutions for subsistence
Collecting data for analysed survey's
Finding ways to unpick the locks
And use this predilection
Towards abusive human exploitation

The rights of rats are insignificant
The plans of tyrants prove their competence
THE EYE WORLD EYE LAW
In yet another human experiment

Insignificance

The monkey in a box

Premium Member A Mid Summers Subsistence Farm

A Mid Summers Subsistence Farm
David J Walker

The scent of the fast-coming dawns summer heat
A rush to meet the morning in a straw strewn barn

Morning chores on a subsistence farm
of scant moisture the dry air awaits

The mid-days unbearable blaze
Indiscriminately burning girls and boys bare feet

Tanning both arms and cheeks of a crop-shared
Existence farm An experience few would repeat

And anyway
There is nothing to do in town today

At least that’s what they say
When they yell

Get out of the Kitchen
Again

Premium Member Nomads of the Desert

Wander lust their families’ motivation
Nomads fluctuating in flowing migration,
Seasonal uprooting to discover new ways
Looking in new directions in anticipation.

Restless as the cirrus streaking the sky
Wander lust their families’ motivation,
They gather not, and with time dissipate
Having done so since primordial creation.

The land they claim their sovereign nation
Whatever resources subsistence requires,
Wanderlust their families’ sole motivation
Until with age the older generation tires.

The cattle lowing, soft winds on the dunes
Strangers look with heightened sensation,
A culture quite sophisticated in its own way
Wanderlust their families’ sole motivation.

On This Thanksgiving Day

On this Thanksgiving day
Let's be thankful for healthy body,
food, clothing and shelter
Resolve to take care of same

On this Thanksgiving day
Let's express our gratitude to nature
For providing us means of subsistence
Resolve to take care of it

On this Thanksgiving day
Let's be grateful to family members
for accepting us as we are
adjusting to our idiosyncrasies
Loving us

On this Thanksgiving day
Let's be thankful to elements of nature
who fill surrounds with beauty, music
bestow joy

On this Thanksgiving day
Let's resolve to not merely thank others
but give back what we get
with love and gratitude

Let's resolve to make
every moment Thanksgiving
by counting our blessings
lead blissful, ecstatic life

Christmas Is Coming

At Christmas,
let us donate to people
 baskets of sympathies
lights of hope
ties of love...

Clothes,
which heat the spirit
and dress warmly
 bodies...

Food
to prevent
from famine and soothe
The spirit...

Sweet words
and delicacies for the occasion,
spiritual bread and
panettone...

Divine fruits combined
with boon of attention...

We must offer in profusion
substance for subsistence,
but mainly,
  the friendly words...
 of Christ...connection
with the Lord...!
