The Extra Mile

How difficult is it to smile,
to hold a friend’s hand for a while,
choosing to walk the extra mile?

Let’s shed our resistance.

Let’s take life slow and gently flow,
awakening our inner glow,
assisting those we meet to grow.

Love is soul’s subsistence.

Life’s a gift but we roam adrift,
so time’s now to give soul a lift,
by a simple consciousness shift.

From God there’s no distance.

"Love is soul's subsistence!" How very true. And out of that love births compassion and the ability to hold the hand of a friend and walk with them. And, truly, when we act with love there is no "distance" from God. Blessings Seeker.

If it seems like effort, it is ego at play :)
