I started my journey into poetry back in 1985 as a freshman in high school - having a mere crush on a girl.  I was too shy to do anything directly substantial about it until watching an episode of Silverspoons, which had planted an idea - feasible for my silent temperament; a poem.

In recent times, writing is more of a way for me to offload emotional tension by  conveying the feelings through the use of functional words structured in either an explicit or an elusive manner.
