starry sky above....
the ‘night queen’ perfumes the air
as your arms wrap me~
your warm breath falls on my neck.
wingless I fly like a bird

When eventide comes to enfold the light
Cerulean haze slither into the spiraling sky
While starlight speckled midnight's dainty face
'Neath the cascade of their aureolin glow
The valley descends into slumber deep
As lilting waves beguiled the crescent's beam
Selene's eyes delight in these astral blooms
Where dreams scaffold the myriad of stars
Forged in sleep by lunar fire
They are leaves swirling in turbulent space
Phosphorous blood, dazzling through serpentine veins
Cradled along the night by interstellar dust
Cosmic heartbeats twinkling in the galaxy's esse
Hark! A starry garden--the master's work of art
the warmest memories abound
When Vincent stumbled home that night through a drizzle of rain ~
what was going on inside that teeming, torturous brain?
Did he blaspheme heaven with every profanity and curse?
Or did he gaze in awe at the stars of his exploding universe,
and try to make of their blue and yellow light a poultice for his pain?
Midnight and,
far from my town's bright lights
in darkness of sky, I find solace
in darkness of sky, I seek freedom
I looked at the glittery trail of stars
the satellites moving as if stars are racing
the pleiades looking like a small ursa major
I lay my head on the grass
before fog comes to obscure my view
before it's grayness takes all over me
I look at the stars, spot constellations
Wishing if I could fly through them
wishing if I could go and visit a planet
wishing if a planet that can carry the weight,
the weight of my emotions
the weight that pulls me down on the ground
there's a freedom in the night sky
meant for dreamers, meant for believers
I want to dream, I want to believe
that I will be fine
midnights, and I run away from the town
to seek freedom in the starry night.
On the velvet mantle of night,
Twinkling, twinkling, dancing stars
Drag me toward their beat
And I no longer feel weighted by gravity.
My feet leave the floor,
My arms spread wide,
I'm flying with the stars,
Their light dictating my moves.
We waltz across the galaxies,
Spinning, whirling,
Liquid motion in the air.
The moon shines on,
Our guiding beam,
while shooting comets leap by,
Adding notes to our cadenza.
In this cosmic ballroom,
As with each nuance of every bend,
I am reminded of the beauty
of letting go and surrendering to the unknown
For in this moment,
in this cosmic dance,
I am weightless, timeless, infinite
And as we twirl and sway,
I know that I am a part
of something bigger than myself
and it fills me with wonder and awe
So I will keep on waltzing
with these twinkling stars above
till the sun rises
and brings me back to earth
Starry night is out of sight
Van Gogh’s work, known day and night
He would probably have a fright
If he knew how many knew his work on sight
Van Gogh’s potential he never did see
Painted Starry night in a room under lock and key
In a mental institute beside a calm welcoming bay
An artist misunderstood by most in his day
A Depiction of One Artist and His Starry Night
~
a precarious world of indecision
a dark pallet of light
this brilliant depiction , it does scream , it cries out
blues and yellows swirl in a maze of defeat
a crescent moon suspended in a blissful evening , hangs lone in agony
I rest within this small town of hope
my eyes are saddened , my mind relentless in delight
You are mine , my asylum , my starry night a dimension of light under this wrenching canopy of demise
oh Vincent
Alas when love has birthed itself
Under the star kisses of a lofting sky
Luminous glittering streams
From the lavender moon
Swathed in orchids bloom
Billowing upon your face
In sheaves of gilded transient light
Its lemony shimmer of sweet cantaloupes
Perfumes the air around your skin
Embraced by the moment between us
As celestial heavens play its aria
Of moonstone melodies
Across the space between us
We speak with our eyes
Of the riant moon
Laced with the kingdom of stars
Aglow with the brilliance of us
Every day, every night,
I see the starlit light.
Stars continuously twinkling,
Like glitters softly sprinkling.
I often behold the sky,
Dreaming of a time to fly.
When those objects start to shine,
I feel their presence, sheer divine.
Thinking of soaring high,
Alas, I always sigh!
Nevertheless, why do they shine bright?
What to do with my yearning sight?
In the vastness of night, I search with my heart,
Longing for the light that sets you apart.
Though through the darkness I wander, near and far,
Little object, why are you so far?
Always tryna find you, my star.
Beneath a sky of velvet, deep and blue,
Where stars like diamonds twinkle, bright and clear,
My heart, a vessel, filled with love for you,
Admires the beauty that you always wear.
Your eyes, like galaxies, vast and unknown,
Reflect the universe, a cosmic sight,
Your laughter, music, sweeter than a tone,
Dispels the darkness, fills my world with light.
And as I gaze upon your radiant face,
A love so pure, so deep, I cannot find,
I'm lost in wonder, filled with such a grace,
To have your love, a treasure of my mind.
So let us journey through this starry night,
And hold each other close, forever bright.

Robert Sherriff - Starry Night
ROBERT SHERRIFF, poet, singer, actor, - American historian, - photographer
Starry Night spoke to me about this master's work,
His life, his pain, his hurt.
To then cut his ear off, and then the final call,
Like a great actor upon the stage for one last curtain fall.
The man had the world at his feet,
But the world was never big enough for Van Gogh,
Who slipped back into the hands of God,
Leaving behind a legacy, a tale untold.
Three years ago, I saw Van Gogh's paintings,
I just looked and sat, looking at his work,
On Starry Night
On a starry night
Staring at shining stars
With pure delight to the soul,
Bemused by infinite space
Stretching to the sky
On a starry night,
Baffled by sheer distance
Is the simple human folk
Staring at shining stars
On starry nights
Gazing at heaven
With pure delight to the soul.
The Starry Night
Holding onto the iron window, gazing at Alpilles,
It's a magnificent night, filled with stars,
I wonder, is it possible? I'm on hills,
Reaching the peak and touching the stars.
I truly enjoy walking in a wheat field,
I'm about to lose my mind in front of the Morning Star.
The smoothly breezing wind hits my face,
Making me feel among the gorgeous stars.
I was thinking, how amazing it would be to live here,
Then I realized I am in the asylum; I must live here forever.
