The Twilight Zone

There once was a man named Rod Serling,
Whose tales were quite frightening and sterling.
Across the airwaves, strange futures he brings,
He'd show you odd truths of all different things.

A woman who was quite a brat,
Was shrunken down and sat on a mat.
By the window, a strange shadow grew,
She'd lost her whole world in a flash and

Spooky Action At The Speed Of Light

I trusted order in the silent stars,
Each planet moving in its measured arc,
Laws written deep in heaven’s endless vault,
The clockwork firm, unbroken, without fault.

Yet here they whisper of a phantom thread,
Binding two particles though oceans spread,
A flicker here, and there the twin must turn,
No time to travel, nothing left to learn.

I call it “spooky,” though

Under the shower, the water was too hot
turned the cold water tap on
when a voice said, the water will be
colder and colder

The pounding of the brisk wind beats.

Bats fly round, waking the dead.

 SIGN SAYS FORTUNE TELLER I WOULDN’T FEEL LUCKY IN THAT STORE
 THIS TOWN IS REALLY CREEPY I DON’T TRUST ANYTHING I SEE
 THE SLIPPERY WET SIDEWALK IS NOW STARING BACK AT ME

The witches finger

When night time falls on Halloween if you`re near the woods don’t linger
For if you stand to long this night you`ll feel the Witches finger.

It`s long and crooked with a pointy nail its skin is rough and grey
It comes alive on Halloween night but dead and black by day.

Granny`s spooky house
My granny has a spooky house she has a spiders web
She keeps it in her room at night just above my bed.

I cannot take my eyes of it however hard I try
As it unwraps its prey from its shiny web and slowly eats a fly.

Awakened from thir fankle,
Bogles bursting fae thir tombs
And the reaper dons his mantle.

As shadows stretch and dance, drawing near.  

Witches ride on broomsticks, swift and bold,
