Purify

I’ll scrape this mud off of my heels -
That’s caked from years of trudging.
And soak these wounds in orange peels -
To persuade scabs into budging.

This bar of soap, my sword of choice -
Will slay bruises that have haunted.
Replacing aches with citrus’ voice -
Who soothingly tunes the daunted.

This plunge of water, warm and welled -
Will calm my anxious weather.
And put to rest thoughts that rebelled -
As I bathe in crystal summer.

Streams of query flow
Walls of falsehood erased
Screens of delusions get torn.
Springs of truth soothingly creep in.
Hunger satisfied, my heart comes home.
Days, nights, and seasons find endless newness.

A Personal Touch Valentine

A Candy Storefront window, a passerby pauses briefly at the array of heart-shaped enwrapped in velvet reds, filled with sweet treats like years before. The same tricks deployed as the byway take point passing a park. Then a heaven-sent gift the gentle walker, drifts a spun floater being a dove's solitaire wing. A hand reaches down and gathers it up in mental discourse. In brevity breathes deeply, and exhales soothingly. Contented, the gentle walker heads back to town, where an empty crimson velour box is bought, he makes one more stop before heading back home with a frozen smile. Amidst the expected backdrop scene where two fluted glasses filled with Dom Perignon Champagne atop a white-silk-covered small round table that graces two silver candle holders, pre-lit. The significant other donning a maroon single-piece nightdress is presented a box. He sits as she opens the box and oddly looks. As he explains his day's escapade freed him from the rigamarole being rhetorical, he lastly gifts her with a smaller box. She opens built-up with a hint of suspense that shreds away to tears. She looks up to the penitent soul while holding a solitaire diamond ring.

Than We sing

a certain concern.

because of there standings and appeal.
Six of us are alluring and Amorous
while others only had an uncertain appeal.
They dubbed some as Perfect voice
and unappealing: while the others
were super appealing and lacked
vocal giftiering.
Fussed they appealed to different sectors.
Ritm stood above the rest as he was 
Super appealing and had a strong proud bassey voice.

While there the instruments sound magical the background singers
sound soothingly perfect!"


The Music producer said he found one in a tobacco fild.And the other guy was a Machinist at a Nevada Lithium Mine. Bothe were Pianist and guitarist and one was a reknowed flutist.

Perspiration Septolet

Sheets of words 
soothingly 
caress me;
Invigorating;
 
Silken whispers 
breathe perspiration  
upon my ears.

Halcyon

The nectarous voices are whispering bye,
as seasons substitute one for the other,
remodeling landscapes harmoniously,
          ~~subtle surrenders,

A balmy brush of sand granules shifts a beach,
while warm bodies lie are gloriously blessed,
ere a quarterly sunset soothingly sound,
          ~~humid loses fair,

Pastoral renders reconciliation,
as a glamorous nature fluctuates gleam,
anon vividness slowly acquiesces,
          ~~restful greenroom folds,

Milk-warm coolly sedates creaminess cascades,
cushioning mellow fields of snowy delights,
entreating eyes amidst shimmering pleasures
          ~~picturesque shuffles.

Alien Observation

Wind circulates, lifting and flattening
an otherwise, benign, breathless world, 
relying also on deeper, slowly moving
tectonics, belching foully, scattering
seas...effecting change.  Seasons like Sun
rejoice and fold. An occasional comet or 
meteor perhaps a compassionate
God-sent, heaven rethinking the dawdling 
pace of destiny….  Man a defiant offspring,
rejecting patterns seemingly not of his own 
making – good angels know better, dutifully 
soothingly serving.

Dog and Thunderstorm

I’ll whimper, cower and tremble
under this chair I shall reside
Because the storm’s angry rumble
will make me quiver, shake and hide

I will bury my head and whine
at each thunderous sound it makes
That causes the floor to vibrate
and every windowpane to shake

Bright flashes streak across the sky
and they do freeze my very heart
I will hide behind your legs while
they try to rip the sky apart

I hear the wind howl through the trees
as nature bows down to your will
The rain pounds down in torrents 
that rattle against the windowsill

Now that the rumble has moved on
and all that’s left is a soft blow
As rains soothingly taps against
the glass of the bedroom window

I will stretch and give a big yawn
scrunch up this pillow for my head
Lay down and get some needed rest
in my comfy and warm dog bed

O Whispering Wind

Good morning, O whispering wind.
I hear the sound of your awesome voice,
but I do not understand a word you're saying.

If I Had a recorder, I would document 
the sound of your captivating presence.
I would study your arresting melody
and seek to interpret your language.

I have known you in several different ways.
In my retirement years in Central Mississippi,
you are whispering soothingly in unmistakable tones.

In my youthful early years 50 years ago,
across the Great Lakes in Southern Wisconsin
and in the Windy City, you blew me, often with
hostility as I walked along the sidewalks.

For 8 years in San Francisco, in the early mornings,
your Pacific winds blasted me ever so liberally.
In Sacramento, for 35 years, your Delta Breezes
cooled me down from a long and hot summer day.

Maybe I'll love you a lot later,
Because I am still not over him either.
Maybe I am so wrong to feel so drawn,
Because I enjoy holding you until dawn.

Maybe I'll need you in life later,
Because I may lose everything, including my mother and father.
Maybe I am so blinded by my rose-lensed illusions,
Because I was hoping you'd clarify my confusions.

Maybe I'll be with you again, even against these odds,
Because I am dreaming of paths presented by gods.
Maybe I need you so badly,
Because I miss how you sung so harmoniously.

Maybe I do want you back, 
Because I want to be what your life seems to lack.
Maybe I adore you for everything you do,
When you hold me, speaking soothingly while I am in rue.

Natural Love

Sun, Moon, and stars 
My day, my night, and my dreams 
Naturally beautiful you are 
A peaceful countryside with a cool flowing stream 

So radiant and soothingly mellow 
Lovely rays permeating my heart 
Sweet, slow strains of a cello

Sweet September

Summer's heat and the great 'out-of-doors' will be passing soon,
giving greetings to the beauty of Autumn, starting in September.

The syllables of 'Sep-tem-ber' roll across my lips so soothingly.
Each year, I say to her tenderly, "I only which that you could stay".

But like every Spring in the month of May, September slowly goes away.
Always rejoicing to see her come, I'm never ready for the exit of her calm.

Silently, slowly, soothingly
Soul breathing in the melting whispers
Seas surrounding me, sensations
Sensitive, prayers and psalms, poetry
Soundless hues of inspiration, 
Secrets abiding in the place of dreams
Sincerity stirring embers of hope
Serenity abiding so I can surely cope
Source of sympathy, sailing, softly
Slightly stimulating the rhythms
Stanzas of praise, grace in flames
Seeking smiles, shimmering suns
Strengthening spirits, sparking sighs
Suggestions of stillness, satisfying
Seafaring dreams soaring on wings
Spontaneous steadfastness, support
Stealthily stealing away to the deep
Someplace where stories are felt!
