Soft Voices

morning light through window
a song heard in my dream lingers
living beyond time
birds outside my window sing
I hear the voice of angels
a conversation with a friend
I showed her a poem
she read between the lines
silence said more the words
a beginning perhaps
silence said more than words
she read between the lines
I showed her a poem
a conversation with a friend
I hear the voice of angels
birds outside my window sing
living beyond time
a song heard in my dreams lingers
morning light through window

dandelion seeds, blowing across the summer’s silence
rising up, a full moon – glowing with its music, its poetry
singing to the stars with their radiance, sparkling, wistful
while autumn thrives in her clearest skies, with tender clouds
and the winter breathes her music in flakes who create drifts

Premium Member Summertime Bop

Summertime, summertime, summertime bop
Come why not to the summertime hop
Movin’ n’ groovin’ dancers everywhere
Wearing flowers in their hair.

Summertime, summertime, summertime bop
Boppin’ around the clock till one drops
Swingin’ and swayin’ havin’ a great time
Until midnight chimes.

For young hearts it’s a brill time
To bop away all day
Summertime’s a dreamtime
For gathering friends along the way.

Boy meets girl and girl meets boy
As billowin’ breeze blows
Romance fills the air
As the summertime flows.

On your feet, to the beat, dance in the street
Give it all you have got
Rotate those hips, do the jive and the twist
Maybe try a fox trot.
For that’s summertime
Yes that’s summertime
That’s the summertime bop.

Premium Member Tan, Tan, Tan

Well she got her magic nose
And she looks like the best snowman now
Though she’s brand new on the front lawn
Compared to all of the old snowmen now
But with that magic carrot
She will show all of the other snowmen how

To get a tan, tan, tan
Before all the winter snow melts away

Well she stands there all day
As the temperature keeps going up now
Without ever melting even
One of her teeny tiny snowflakes now
While other snowmen start to
Melt and look like piles put there from the truck plow

She’ll get a tan, tan, tan
Before all the winter snow melts away

Well she knew all along
That all the other’s wanted her nose now
And since they took both of her arms
There would be no way to protect herself now
But then the sun came out strong
And melted the other snow men anyhow

So she’ll get a tan, tan, tan, since the sun melted them all away
So she’ll get a tan, tan, tan, since the sun melted them all away

Adieu

Red cricket
Flirts with the rising moonglow,
Feels the first icy fist of frosty breath subdue
The summer chorus serendipity
In a cold moon shadow -
Summer troubadour bids "Adieu!"

Summer Song

Out in the sun's light,
There's no gloom to fight,
I'm haloed by the sun's glory,
I'm poised for the day.

The day harbingers mirth,
A sultry symphony its elements birth,
All are bright and clear,
Come with me, my dear.

The earth's mood is changed by summer's solstice,
Recreations are there to entice,
The ambience is loving,
I'm in its embrace.

Let’s bask in this moment, my love,
Every despair, let’s shove,
We're in the eyes of the Sun,
Let's go out and have fun.

Soaring in orange
kingfisher blue in the sun
beyond red roses
Afternoon has come softly
smothered by the summer heat

Oblivious bird
making the most of each day
by still silver lakes
Trills dawn to sunset curtains
purple and wrapped in diamonds

May your love bring sunshine days every day. Blessings and best wishes.

Sunshine days
By Michelle Morris

Chorus
You made sunshine days -
Every day;
You made rain clouds go -
Go away;
You made everything
better for me...
You made my soul soar free -
So free... (end chorus)

You came into my world
Like a balm;
You gave me a sense of
Such calm...

You loved me for me,
And it was great;
You understood my story -
You could relate...

Chorus

You danced with me
out on the lawn;
We had fun every night
until dawn...

The stars shone brighter
with you;
And the mornings seemed
lovely and new...

Chorus

We made beautiful memories
always;
To keep close for the
rest of our days...

And I'll treasure the time
spent with you;
It's the best of love
come true...

Chorus
