Red cricket
Flirts with the rising moonglow,
Feels the first icy fist of frosty breath subdue
The summer chorus serendipity
In a cold moon shadow -
Summer troubadour bids "Adieu!"

I love the analogy you have created here.. I wrote a poem with crickets also, although it was just one verse... this is a poem you have to read a few time to fully grasp its meaning...

I do love the changing of the seasons. I agree with Sara below, I loved your description of the cricket as summer's troubadour, personification is fun to read. On se voit la saison porchaine, said your red cricket. ( See you next season)
