Premium MemberSeptember Melody

The autumn day is beautiful and sweet, and the sounds of nature ring loud and sharp; I stand listening to a lone bird song. His tweets, chirps and twirls an echoing song, I am in awe of his melody sweet; and then, the wind answers in whispers sharp. Somewhere, a tree branch breaks with a crack sharp, disturbing tranquility of this song; I love nature and the hidden sounds sweet. Let this sweet, sharp, song ever drift and float.

Premium MemberNight Song

Everything is dark,
the black moon provides no light.
It seems there
is nothing outside,
all is asleep.

But listen!

Listen
to the wise hoot of the owl,
and the rhythmic tapping of
invisible rain on the window.

Listen
to the sweet violins of crickets,
and the gentle
whisper of the trees.

Listen
to the opera of wolves
howling in praise
of Mother Earth,

and listen
to the comforting
silence of the stars.

Light only distracts us
from the beautiful song of nature
only darkness can bring forth;

her most beautiful symphony,
the sweet song that is the night.

A ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ring ¦¦¦ a starbright sphere,
With ¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ delight and ¦¦¦¦ cunning ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦ unsought,
¦¦¦¦ the heart ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦ may smile if to pleasure his ear
A ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦
¦¦¦ jewel of music is ¦¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ aught--
Love, laughter, ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦
¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ to hang in the ear ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦
As a bird's ¦¦¦¦¦ song ¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦ in us hear
Pause ¦¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ again the same strain caught,
So moves ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦ as a pearl or tear,
¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ wrought.

Premium MemberHymn of The Heart

The heart sings
Because she has no more storage capacity.
Her music inside must flow like the blood.
Singing therefore sets the heart free to
Sing like a bird and soar like an eagle.

The heart therefore waited
Long and travelled far.

She longed within her soul
to be heard by ones like you.

She lacked no patience,
Nor did she grow weary in transit.

She knew that it would be worth the wait.
When she walked through the gates of
Flower heaven, she could hear these
Hibiscus hymns that sound like beautiful
Red blossoms in her very own garden.

Those stunning sounds were the chorus
A poet bleeds after a long creative muse,
Saturated with inspiration. Like the heart that
Sings because it must have release, the poet
Is compelled to let the inspiration flow.

Premium MemberThe Bird in Black

I strolled onto a forest glade
to hear a bird in concert serenade,
but when I heard him speak,
this issued from his beak,

"I'm not the bird you seek.

Some birds with pretty voices sing,
while those of broken heart and broken wing
have no worm on which to snack.

Some birds wear colors, bright,
and look so beautiful in flight,
while the hapless hit a wall and..."smack!".

But, I'm no such bird. This inky crow
(while there are birds that don't know which way to go,
in this world of birdy woe)
won't sing like Perry Co-MO,
or flaunt the colors of the rainbow.
I am the bird in black."

Premium MemberWrite me a song

Write me a song and use a beautiful word
Make it a song that no one has heard

Write me a song about love that you bring
and make a song everyone can sing

Write me a song about love but not pain
make it about sunshine and not the rain

Write me a song about the stars and the moon
make it a song with a catchy tune

Write me a song but don't make me cry
make it a song I can remember you by.

Premium MemberOrchestral Dawn

For I woke from sleep after a burning dream
and the need for cold air to breathe.
I opened a window to see the darkness
lose its hold over the horizon and trees.

The quiet of night played subtle tones
through the movement of a train along the tracks.
I saw this lit snake slithering fast like prey
with a hawk upon its back.

Sudden orchestral tones erupted out of sight.
The quiet owned by night was broken
by sounds that captured daylight’s initial magic light.

Beautiful songs and rhythmic tunes
seemed to fill the massive sky.
I closed my eyes, felt a cool breeze,
and listened as nature called
a new day from the night.

Premium MemberSpring time songs

I walked by the light pink tulip
thinking about life and friendship
When I heard all the songs around,
The chorus of bird's pleasant sound
There's something with the start of Spring
Beginnings and prayers, church bells ring
A chance to do things in new ways,
from lessons learned, unfolding days
Life is like a book of its own
with memories of places flown
Broken trust like a winter branch
Now healing from each avalanche
Refreshing, warm, and beautiful
Songs that lift the heart and fulfill
I learned to look at the moment
Pay attention to the time I spent
Spring time songs, a gift to behold
Gratitude blooms, never gets old

For: Constance La France
Contest: Write a Beautiful Rubaiyant

Looking for a city, where death's no fear I believe there's a city far from here One glorious city with streets of gold In that city, I'll see again those dear In that city by Jesus be consoled The walls of twelve beautiful stones behold There the sainted millions, never say goodbye Being there is a reward of ninefold In that awesome city, above the blue sky In the place, where my tears Jesus will dry Here on this earth evil lurks everywhere Illnesses come at us, germs lie nearby In that city, Jesus' light will be there His beauty above all on earth to compare Looking for a city built by Jesus I'll never ever want to be elsewhere
