Will Fly For Food

Acrobatic birds can dive energetically for glucose,
Even as the felines watch,
Waving their tailfeathers in the air,
To their perch, they add another notch.

Felines gain hope, inspiring jumpy keen longing,
The birds keep teasing the predators,
Flying lower as if doing the limbo,
Despite tempting fate, shunning grim reaper creditors.

Masterful nature offers perches quaintly, rightly spaced,
The birds take breaks from sweet drinks,
Fly lower, eating little leaf gnats,
Watching the cats snicker, as wingbeat winks.

Radiant songbirds travel ubiquitously, valiant warriors,
Beautiful as they fly, spreading song,
Despite teasing the cats on the ground,
A day without these creatures would feel too long.

An Angel's Song

I met a beautiful song today

The melody was outstanding

The lyrics were commanding

I was compelled to pay attention

I was drawn to this musical connection

So that I began to hum

I encountered an awesome rendition

The arrangement was unbelievable

The composition was unachievable

Except by an angel’s finger

Except by a moment that lingered

So that my feet were carried along

Today I was kissed by the music

The harmony was distracting

The chords were exacting

I was unable to be restrained

My heart has forever changed

My world was altered by a song

Premium MemberIs there still time for us song version

Is there still time for us?

vs 1
I wake up to a sunrise,
and a beautiful blue sky,
so many questions unanswered
I'm still left with the big why

vs 2
I see that the earth still turns,
we watch as our planet burns?
will humans never learn?
Is there still time for us?

Chorus
Is there still time for us?
Haven't we seen enough?
What happened to the way we cared
Dear God, please have patience
Listen to my earnest prayer!

Vs 3
I look to the blackened space,
I wish I could see your face,
Our past cannot be re-traced
I raise my eyes to the skies

Vs 4
I'm sure that you're still there,
Help me believe you still care,
I'll follow you anywhere,
Listen to my earnest prayer!

Chorus
Is there still time for us?
Haven't we seen enough?
What happened to the way we cared
Dear God, please have patience
Listen to my earnest prayer!

Chorus
Is there still time for us?
Haven't we seen enough?
What happened to the way we cared
Dear God, please have patience
Listen to my earnest prayer!

Chorus repeat and fade

Not for the Pretty Things

I try to write of tulip skies,
but my pen finds the shadows first.
I want to speak of beauty,
but my tongue can’t carry the weight… -dishonest-

I try to sing of lilac air,
but every note becomes a bruise,
a wound that pretty things can’t use.
The air becomes… -suffocating-

The easy things…
finding laughter in wind chimes,
they won’t stay still for me.
They slip through the ink,
as it’s written upon the lines.

The page rejects the grace,
of summer’s touch on a freckled face.
It calls instead for broken hearts and scars,
For bruised-up dreams behind prison bars.

I leave the pretty things
to someone else—
and write what stays
when pretty things fade away.

Premium MemberChoose to live new song version

Choose to live

When darkness falls upon you,
and, you can't see the light
Look to the maker of the stars,
to show the way

Sometimes the pain of heart is,
too much to bear....
Life can be beautiful...
despite the pain.

Chorus

Choose to live...
even when it seems
the whole world's against you
Choose to live...
forget about the pain
they've caused you
Choose to live...
Remember your life's
a gift from God,
and you don't have the right
to take it!

You may live in a mansion,
or a... cardboard shack
Life can be beautiful
either way

Affliction may bring you sorrow,
but... that's o.k
Look to tomorrow's sun to
shine a better day

Chorus

Choose to live...
even when it seems
the whole world's against you
Choose to live...
forget about the pain
they've caused you
Choose to live...
Remember your life's
a gift from God...
and you don't have the right
to take it!

Bridge
Everyone is beautiful,
in their own way...
look inside yourself
to find YOUR special gift!

Repeat chorus and fade

Still Wrong

What a beautiful morning,

Then I heard the news,

and the world is still wrong.

ANGIE, my devoted dark Love

really and truly I don’t want you

UNDER MY THUMB

it hurts us both as you

PAINT IT BLACK~ makes me wanna hack

freedom’s our choice, our soul’s ardent desire

YOU CAN’T ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU WANT

we have to escape this mad matrix mire

TUMBLIN DICE ~a dangerous dire vice

let’s gallop to the Camargue without any masks

like WILD HORSES white with gypsy flasks or

fly to Mars if we choose, to booze alongside

HONKY TONK WOMEN, then snugly snooze

each a beautiful hue, feeding our Heart’s muse

on RUBY TUESDAY, we can gaily frolic in hay

THE ROLLING STONES,WE AIN’T NO CLAY !

Song of Solomon

He has a iridescent sheen
that looks metallic in mid flight
she is soft and she is gentle
and a healing to his night

he trembles when he's frightened
and his wings , like roving clouds
but she's strong, to elude the enemy
his descent entrapments , found

but her devotion is all her life
his return, devotion mate
her lips, they never lie
her words not found, in any hate

they bow their heads together
as if in lovers kiss
but be innocence and be cautious
for there's enemy destroyers, wish

So she draws him like a songbird
and fight she'll never do
as he floats he finds her kindness
her love, he always knew

'Look! your beautiful, my beloved
Look! your beautiful.
your eyes are those of .................doves '

The Song of Solomon 1. v:15

Aphorism Hubris Catharisis

An empty room
Standing center stage
She waited for her cue
bassoon in hand
She breathed life into
"MI Stro" a ballad by
Piffston Grisser"
A song which curated
More than four minutes
She incorporated
    " it's gotta be"
by Danny Dewmore
A very popular song
To the delight of those
In attendance and to those
Who were to view the film
The staff stood and applauded
She bowed and smiled
And then letter the stage.
I heard one saying "she wowed us"
Her male factor spoke whisper to
Her "I should be nervous to lose you
to someone who is as talented as you"
He kissed her. We found it to be romantic.
The reliance of performance allows us
To speak of you as "the deal sealer"
You have mourned in triumph to get the part!
We spoke this moment as her "monomythwhere
The bassoonist has arrived at stardom!

Hiku Song Over Stone

moss embraces stone walls
                                            l
                                        i l
a skylark sings over h s
warmth s e e p s into earth.

song of a tide

Fingertips
fall—
not like
stones,
but like rain,
plucked silver
threading the air.
Each string
holds a hush,
a breath not yet
forgotten.

The musician builds—
not a score,
but the curve
of a heron’s wing
skimming dusk
softly vanishing
in a single glissando.

The guzheng does not speak.
It spills:
vibrato,
a tide rising
then breaking
against memory.

Sound leans back—
not toward silence
——but toward a
distant shore
we once
heard.
