somewhere among the shaded trees this version of Tuesday

Somewhere

I saw you there
sitting alone in a corner
while our classmates played.
The look in your eyes—
longing to belong
but fearing to fall.
We were seven then,
in all the chaos,
still finding our places.
You noticed me or not,
I never knew,
but I saw you smile
when you saw the chocolate
I hid in your bag.
Then… one day, your seat was empty.
The next day,

Somewhere, somehow

I would oft picture her
No longer with me demure
Just as she was then on screen
Always eager, always keen
Her transparent red piece
Solely meant to tease
I plunge into flashback mode
The way she sat, the way she rode
Throwing all caution out
And the resulting love, a rout
I desperately look forward to it now
Despite all hurdles, somewhere, somehow.

Somewhere In Time

Somewhere in time
Lost long ago
He had his only true love
All his life, he wondered
What one more kiss would have been like
How it would have felt to hold her again 
Maybe how is life would have been better
Alas, the time of that love was long gone
He would never be able to love her
Or love anyone else

Somewhere she yet breathes this very air
...While living within this moment.
Her heart beats...... with hair floating upon the most fortunate breeze having brushed the beauty of her face

I long that it were I who caressed that face in such gentle way.... living in the joy of the moment as I dance within those strands.

Somewhere, in a hush not bound by walls
My other waits...

Not the twin of flesh
But the echo I left behind...
When I chose to live, this time forward.

 It started with a photograph of a young woman.
 A love story that should have been.
 A story that traveled back in time.
 He just wanted her, so divine.
 1975 back to 1912.
 Obsessed with her into a new realm.
 A writer going into the past.
 Only if it would last.

Somewhere, along the long road, we picked it up.

It was light at first, simple and unadorned. Until we added on and changed the rules.

It grew heavier, as our numbers grew, among the mountains and valleys of survival.

Somewhere we dropped it.

It’s somewhere now, not up ahead, but back along the road on which we traveled.
