7 B's Of Summer

Spring is sprawling
out there somewhere
in a Bikini on a Beach
drinking Beer
toes in the sand
glass in hand
while snowflakes are falling
and winter's still here
then when good old
sunny summer comes
(and swallows do too)
oh to go Barefoot
in a Boat on the sea
Barbecue in the garden
play Ball in the park
fun in the sun 'til evening twilight
lowers the night a curtain of dark

A Christmas Wish

May your annual commemoration
of the winter solstice
with one of the Earth's poles
at its maximum tilt from the sun
be abundant with innumerable manifestations
of felicity friends good food and fun
and may the next full circuit
of the ecliptic engender
a propensity toward
bestowing plenteousness too
and may unparalleled prosperity
be forthcoming
and settle like snowflakes
gently upon you

Wintry World

In the gathering gloom
of a winter's afternoon
as the light leaches
from the room
I'm more prone or inclined
as comforts tug
to recline supine
beside the hearth
here on the rug
with a good book
than step outdoors
as if you would take a look
outside the window
should you care
it's more than slightly
chilly out there
with snowflakes
blowing in the air
better on the floor I think
with a hot drink near the fire
until my tired eyes start to close
in repose and so go upstairs where I retire

Premium Member In the endless exile, where dreams melt like snowflakes under the sun

In the endless exile, where dreams melt like snowflakes under the sun,
I discovered a secret world, woven from threads of shadow and light,
where each step on the solitary path became a dance of falling stars,
and loneliness transformed into a siren's song, drawing me into the depths.
I was enveloped by a wave of humility, an ocean of tranquility where time loses its shape,
and there, between the velvet sky and the silk earth, I learned to listen,
to decipher the stories of the wind that whispers the forgotten secrets of the world,
in an ancient language, understood only by me, like a magical incantation.
This isolation, like a labyrinth of mirrors, reflected the face of my soul,
stripped my heart of illusions and regrets, leaving only the pure essence of being,
a flame dancing in a crystal candle, illuminating the path to truth,
where words become unseen bridges between silence and wisdom.
In exile, I encountered eternity in a moment, an endless journey,
where I learned that my language is a tree with deep roots,
planted in the soil of memory and desire, growing towards the sky of hope,
a song of the universe, in which each verse is a window to infinity.

Snowflakes

I spread my fingers, held my hand up high,

As countless snowflakes floated coldly by,

Just like you did, without a last goodbye

And in that silence, I was left to cry.

You came to me as the most precious gift,

The North Star steering my ship through the night.

But then you left just like the snow adrift,

Abandoning me, destitute of light.

I watched the snowflakes, bound to melt apart,

And asked myself if there would be a day

When our sweet memories treasured in my heart

Would meet the same fate, doomed to fade away?

Sucking on the light, midmorning
Frost clings to the window’s pane, twisted
Praise, adorning the silence – winds
Heavy as the slow rhythm, heartbeats
Rising from the daily chores, stirring awake
The little morsels of bitterness, ice
Welded to the glass in misty stories
Poetic tributes to the winter’s twilight
Signing the moments with a signature
Hopeful and knowing that snowflakes
Pour out the presence of a star flooded night
While the lavender skies, merged with sapphire
Beats, echoing grief sown into the shadows
Revealing what it means to listen to the peaks
Chorus a slushy path through the darkness
Mountains aching to breath, sighing
Like her destiny is more than just dreams
A winter’s melody, in bleached out drifts
Alive and touched by the peace, echoing
Across the snowy ridges, winter’s grieving

Premium Member DAILY GRATITUDE SNOWFLAKES

Today I’m grateful for snowflakes
and how they remind me every day…
to enjoy each moment (like each snowflake)
before that moment melts away.

Premium Member NO TWO SNOWFLAKES ARE THE SAME

May we be blessed to be reminded
whenever we see snowy weather….
how no two snowflakes are the same
but
how beautifully they blend together

Premium Member Ivory Flakes

When sunlight or moonbeams come peeping through
Snowflakes will acquire an ivory hue
Twisting and twirling, confetti on show
Gracing landscape with an ivory glow.

Pirouetting by day or ‘neath moonlight
When ivory flakes dance, it’s a grand sight
Adding glamour to the night or the day
When performing a celestial display.

Softly falling to earth these precious gems
Visions from heavenly angelic friends
Snowflakes adorn tree branches, bare of leaves
Covered in ivory glistening sleeves.

Children wake blissful when snow covers ground
Eager to play with friends gathering round
Building snowmen, having a snowball fight
For them it's having the time of their life.

Snowflakes create a wondrous winter scene
Beautifying earth on ivory screen
A joy to behold, to all folk worldwide
Elation the mystic maker provides.

Premium Member In the white night, the bare branches dance with the snowflakes

In the white night, the bare branches dance with the snowflakes,
Whispering stories of dreams floating on the horizon,
Fragile as mist, ready to disperse in the wind.
My thoughts stumble, flowing like an uncharted river,
Reminding me of a moment suspended in time, captured in a lens,
A frozen memory of what could have been, what could become.
In the silent cold, without the sun, only the purity of snow prevails,
Whispering to me that beauty is born even in the absence of light,
That dreams, though delicate, are not always without substance.
My consciousness runs, tripping over unspoken thoughts,
And I understand that I must seize the fleeting moment, live it,
For dreams are there, waiting to be touched, embraced.
Oh, my soul, do not let fear freeze your desires!
The branches of life may seem bare, but they are full of promises,
Waiting only for you to give them life, to dress them in the colors of hope.
And even if the wind howls menacingly, always remember:
Your dreams, no matter how fragile, are stronger than you think,
Reach out and grasp them now, while they are still there, while you are still you.

as snowflakes fall from tangled tree branches
they dance and whirl about me
            I stop and stand still
               dazzled in a celestial light

Winter's Glow

A blanket of white, sparkling and pure,
The snow shines in the moonlight.
A world transformed, a winter wonderland
Where all is calm and bright.

The air is crisp, the stars are bright,
The snowflakes glisten as they fall.
A peaceful silence fills the night,
As winter casts its spell on all.

The trees stand tall, their branches bare,
But still they hold such beauty.
Covered in snow, like a bride in white,
They dance in the wind with grace and duty.

Footprints appear, marking the way,
Of creatures big and small.
Rabbits and deer, squirrels and birds,
They leave their mark amidst it all.

And as I stand in this winter's glow,
I feel a sense of peace.
A magical moment frozen in time,
Where all my worries cease.

For just a moment, I am lost
In the beauty of this scene.
And I am reminded that even in darkness,
There is always light to be seen.
