He sleeps like a koala from seven to eleven.
While I'm here simply left waiting and wondering just when
Is the specific time that I can even speak to him again.

There she slumbers,
Under the grey skies,
Knitting her black and whites,
Into a tune
or
Call it a remedy,
Medicine for subliminal tragedies,
She is not gentle,
but fierce,
Painting her masterpiece
As she rehearse,
Strength is the synonym,
Risking on the surface,
The fear of being uncontained,
The pain endured Moment by moment,
To hold a life inside- Too affluent.

AWAKENING SLUMBERS
reflect
stark constraints

the
stillness
a contemplation
a synthesis
evolving
silhouetted
vaguely
transcending
experience
of reality
a repetitive rhythm
to emphasis
the options
in a poetic
dimension
scintillating
giving
stark relief
saturated

THIS IS AN OPEN(organic) FORM VERSE without grammatical symbols the ' open' relies upon 'the one breath limitation' & so inherently requires the 'reader' (reciter) to input and respond thus making the form a two way interplay and often a unique interpretation by the enigma so derived

Lights & Numbers
David J Walker
When he said
Think ahead
I think he was
Thinking of numbers
What I heard
(Silly nerd)
Was seamless dreams
In vivid colors of
Visions in
Slumbers
As the night
Lumbers
alone
Into
Tomorrow
Morning
When numbers are
Subtracted from
The meaning of dreams
And the deep sleep of
dreams is over

Jazz piano scale skip quick notes implore me
Siphon symphony verve blurred by saxophone sass
Floated lilly pad leap frog spring legged surety
Splats on brass buttoned soldiers dedicated amass
Bulbous glass swirl burgundy grape stem bitter
Absorbs oak barrel sentiment, forested persuasion
Ace praise expires, a swiftly swallowed splinter
Comical dive antics of cork fragmenting abrasion
Dissolving Elizabeth, shabbily written character
Simmered limply submissive, a nouveau improvisation
Vat of pursuit poured by Stu picks a passenger
Chords hover mahogany piano cascade syncopation
Composition three minute summit misconstrue
Violins textured crescendo vibrates bow tight strings
Apron strewn, Libby leaves her rolling pin askew
Butter heart hails harmony a true companion brings
22nd January
Stu calls me Jasmine

when dearest muse slumbers
I may try something to numb her
~ My conscience unencumbered...
Of course, now she's fully awake
I can no longer be a snowflake
She's back from her resort on the lake

In the ruins of a castle,
Lives a dark and dusty love,
A single white feather,
Has fallen from above.
The dawn it lights his footsteps,
Stardust across the floor,
The single white feather,
It lies there no more.
The dawn has surrendered,
And dusk has won the fight,
His angel she now slumbers,
In his arms tonight.

poesie slumbers
quietly breathing
swathed in white noise
deep in reverie
poesie trances
in an English garden
picture windows
take after an Anglian sky
poesie rolls over
on freshly cut grass
hedged in by Japanese Quince
the color of wild things waking
poesie sighs deeply
someone's pestering
a spiny shrub grows taller
a pond furthermore darkens
poesie tosses and turns
throws back the covers
lavender makes its entrance
into a parasoled cottage
poesie shivers
someone's cuddling
icy rain babbles against the leadlights
like a lot of raucous stones
poesie comforts
between loud mirth
and crushing sadness
fluffy visions inquire
poesie is awoken
drowsily recalling
a dream of a nightmare
a downy rousing to alertness
poesie rubs her eyes
yawns an aspiration
and utters a fact
the dream's gone too fast.

The moonlit grass was metaphorically mystic in its cool, methodical, grandiose offerings of solace to the gentle breeze-woman who could not abide the ruin of her evermore.
Softly, silently, without any hesitation, she laid her burden down on the caring grass bosom illuminated by the entangled mono-speak of the faeries.
Butterflies surrounded her, illuminating her starlit dreams with dreams of their own. Sometimes the dream masters can fix things well beyond the realm, head nymph told head elf.
For a solid minute, in mutual respect and solitude, they formed a rescue mission, and sprinkled breeze-woman with the magic that she needed to do what only she could do.
Sandman sashayed over, surveyed the nymphs, and elves and tucks, raised one finger to his gentle mouth.
“All hush,” he said, his whisper a bare wisp. “She is finally asleep.” They surrounded her with love and joy and cheer, only silently. Everyone loved Breeze Woman.
All was well in the forest.

Saffron sunbeams color chiffon
ribbons entangled in the clouds.
And purple lilacs scent the air;
wafting delicious aromas.
As orange tints the rim of Earth;
cinnamon skies showcase shy stars.
And when Twilight shifts into Dusk,
darkness descends, devouring day.
Cotton candy pink shields the sun
behind a bright magenta glow.
And a rising Moon's golden hue;
gilds alabaster clouds below.
Night dons a cloak of tattered black
that summons the screech of an owl.
And, soon, reality slumbers;
dreaming in muted shades of blue.
Far horizons of ebony,
ink shrubs, and trees in silhouette.
And Venus summons tomorrow;
anticipating today's death.

When the world's in a haze
