Baby Sister
I see her munching on
Little chunks of apples and cheese,
Laying comfortably
In her cosy, wooly blankies.

I see her chubby cheeks
Move as she's chewing,
Lazily cuddling the cutest
Of all stuffed doll sheepling....

Why do you try to pull the wool over my eyes?
Others can see your own hypocrisy
Often telling blatant lies
Life is for living,
You need to get a life!

The turning phrase!

A Black Woman's Paradise
A bedroom of ecstasy
Baby get next to me
Loving and kissing and touching, Caressing me
Sensuous touch all over my temple
Black wooly outside
The entrance so simple
Pink warm moist Palace
Welcome to my temple
A wet river valley
To slide and to glide
This Black Woman's Paradise is something to hide...

Wooly Surfer
riding the shoulder, standing
right with the movement
is my boy lil Wooly Dog
surfing waves on the rocking chair

coming in from the back
he holds his paws in place
as if pawing into the whitewash
getting ready to settle in

then barreling into the blanket
where it is cool and calm
with a nice breeze blowing over
he closes his eyes for a nap...

Eggs
How happy are orange carrots!
Are you upset by how colored they are?
Does it tear you apart to see the carrots so chromatic?

I cannot help but stop and look at brown walnuts.
Are you upset by how dark-brown they are?
Does it tear you apart to see the walnuts so brownish?

How happy is the wooly cantaloupe!
Never forget the soft and addled cantaloupe....

poison berry to us

Patience
Winter clouds hang so low
pregnant with snow
    gray and solemn.
         Promising

Sweet laundry hangs
heavy on the line,
    stiff with February frost.
         Forlorn

Soft curls escape wooly hat
as he sits on his Big Wheel
beneath his
     crispy blankie.
         Comforted

Reaching fingers caress silky binding
reachable.
        Thumb plugged in.

Life is good....

A Banded Woolly Bear
A Banded Woolly Bear

Quiet road.
Autumn sun,
Parting leaves;
Warm light pools.

An earnest Woolly Bear
Crossing, pool to pool,
Urgently cautious,
Towards some important thing!

No bird notices, no car yet,
No winter yet.
Just an earnest Wooly Bear
Alone, towards something important.

What importance I cannot know,
On the silent road, for now.
Looking down, I wish the Woolly Bear well,
And hurry on....

Seeing the Light
The same names keep coming up,
all the usual suspects,
but they give the illusion
of being many.

The same faces surface
the bugaboo’s,
the clown-faced devils.
We are taught to listen
without thinking,
to drink in
only their thoughts.

A critical mass is reached,
at last the sheep
are teaching themselves
to be sheepdogs.

Now we are watchful
of the wooly flock.
We will not drink
their watery beers....

Life
Pay attention to the birth
The birth is the most perilous beginning of all
Now dangerous is just the thing
To get me wondering if the birth is precarious

Pay attention to the longevity
The longevity is the most durability oldness of all

I saw the wooly life form
Of my generation destroyed
How I mourned the human

Why would you think the existence is big?
The existence is the most little natural object of all...

Stone Age
Hunting wooly mammoths
Using flint sphears
Nearly getting killed by tusks
Fires cooking
Eating in our caves
Recording our lives

In the stone age !!

So simple
Sitting round-chilling by the fire
No worrying
No hurrying
Hanging with the fam
Got no time for the feds
Got no time for the teach

In the stone age !!

Love so deep
When he leaves
Hope so low
Fear so high
Yet love so deep

In the stone age !!!...

Premium Member The Story Teller
We are spellbound as she tells us her latest tale.
It is wild, wooly, wacky and weirdly wonderful.
She is a wizard of a story-teller, and she knows her audience.
She gives us just the right amount of juice to push us to the edge.
We are ready to scream when she pulls us back in,
Reeling us into her web of a story, as easily as pulling fish in by the net.
She is the library’s storyteller, and she knows what she is doing....

Moon
How happy is the gentle luna!
Does the luna make you shiver?
does it?

An asteroid, however hard it tries,
Will always be huge.
Now vast is just the thing,
To get me wondering if the asteroid is big.

I cannot help but stop and look at the wooly heel.
Does the heel make you shiver?
does it?

I cannot help but stop and look at the big crescent.
Are you upset by how larger it is?
Does it tear you apart to see the crescent so oversize?...

Premium Member If I Could See To Drive
A wooly caveman who has not bathed in years looks better than me
My hair is sticking up every which way
There is enough dirt under my nails to plant a tree
If I could see to drive I might get a haircut
I could just cut two little windows into my bangs
I have done it before
It always freaks the hairdresser out
She does not want me to tell anyone
Where I got my hair done after I do that.
It is not an easy fix apparently.
Where are my scissors?...
