Husbands and Wives

In our own way
we seek someone
who becomes
a mirror image
of our best
devoid of the darkness
all chiaro
but no scuoro.

There once was a wife who scolded
All her notes to her hubby were bolded
He weathered her nagginess
Owned his inner fagginess
Worked out fine. Is that too cold, Ed?

Husbands Are In Heaven Whose Wives Scold Not

" Husbands are in heaven whose wives scold not"

His Heavenly garden
Seemed a loss –without someone to share--
The birdsong missing was, he thought, the
Lack of nagging in his ear.

Husbands Are In Heaven Whose Wives Scold Not

All night I dream of life without wife,
Peaceful and heavenly, without any strife .
No scolding, no nagging,
Like ‘sake’ I’m having.
Alas! Its morning and gone my life.

She asked
him a question-
what do gentlemen relish?
the way to my heart is through my
stomach.
He asked
her a question-
what do ladies desire ?
the way to my heart lies via
my ear.

FOR FOOLISH FOURTH WIVES

Fordham Belfour, on 4th street, fell afoul of fabulous foreplay
Four minutes before he forgot to catch the 4:44
Fortunately his forgiving fourth wife
Fell for his foolish failure to perform

When a bald eagle is soaring high above the canyon rim
Those old wives tales will make their rounds like homemade hooch
Mountain folks saying our union is strong and watching over us

Some Have Wives

Some have wives
Who have turned them to wives
The daily chores are theirs
In addition to paying the dues
They dare not turn them down
Else they get the treatment of a clown
They are the terrors of their lives
The ones they call their wives.

King Shlomo was a real smart man
He built the Temple per God's plan
They say he penned "The Song of Songs"
Such brilliance should have lasted long
But was he really truly wise
What need had he for all those wives

The ‘Founding Fathers’ surely were wise
Washington, Jefferson, Madison and all those guys

Yet how about crediting their wives once in a while
for testing their husbands’ mettle and sharpening their wiles

I change.... but in death

a bay leaf falls and dies-

My regret ... follows you to the grave

upon the fresh earth the asphotel lily lies-

In country lore of days of old

         flowers ...a symbolic story told

Dimwits say, he said with disdain
When cows lay down it’s going to rain
And if those cows decide to stand
The day will be a lot less bland
But if some lay and some are stood?
Explain that one if you would.
But that didn’t throw me for hours
Easy I said... scattered showers

Wives With Knives

Through and through though more to do-
A thousand thoughts to misconstrue!
Too long I've waited, too sad and sedated
To live a lie I declare is true...
And so it seems that in my dreams
I bathe myself in Moonlight beams
That light the night, turn black to white
And will slit my throat at any means!

Those Who Others Wives Eye

Those who others wives eye
Aren't ready to say 'why'?:
When they do,package 'lie'
They give colourful dress
And remember to press:
"Has got nose of Grandma,
Who loved to read prima!"

They soonest away fly,
Who would others'wives eye:
No other option try,
If it'd end up in a mess,
Down drag him more or less;
Herman out for long stress...

A full stop not comma
To acts flawed by karma.

Acceptance

Accepting to marry
Beautiful , kindly and gentle woman ,
It is the choice of millions of men.
Dearly, few men will oppose the above News.
Know yourself and continue to love him
Without hesitation because God sent him to you.
Good man is not after woman's wealth;
Love and behaviour count the most.
Receive my best advice with two hands.

Pans: Again

More pans to wash …
More pans to wash!!!
They come umpteen times a day.

My hands are chapped,
My back is crook’d
I wish they’d go away.

But when they’re dry and shiny, sitting neatly on their shelves
My thoughts can turn to what comes next -
Some tasty treat, no longer vexed
I now ‘create; and undertake
Pie, bun, roast a glorious cake?
Foods to soothe the ravening beasts
My pans cook up some wondrous feasts.

The Difference Between Husbands and Wives

A wife drops a sock on the floor, she bends down to pick it up and sees another sock under the bed and crawls under to retrieve it. She notices some dust has accumulated so she goes and gets the vacuum and broom to clean it up. While she has those out, she cleans the rest of the floors. A husband sees a sock on the floor and kicks it under the bed.

Men are still alive
because they moves the big stuff
and change flat tires
