Their Wives 'Don't Get No Respect'

            The ‘Founding Fathers’ surely were wise
                 Washington, Jefferson, Madison and all those guys

            Yet how about crediting their wives once in a while
                  for testing their husbands’ mettle and sharpening their wiles

Karen Jones July 4, 2026 at 6:33 PM Women were like property years ago and had no rights so marriage was important. I think it crazy that women weren’t able to vote, have a bank account and etc. Nicely written poem with at least you giving credit.
