Old Wives Tales

When a bald eagle is soaring high above the canyon rim
Those old wives tales will make their rounds like homemade hooch
Mountain folks saying our union is strong and watching over us

"Those old wives tales will make their rounds like homemade hooch" I love this line! I want to steal it and run with it and make a poem but that would be stealing so I suggest that YOU DO IT.

You have my permission. In fact, I challenge you to write a poem about hooch. Do they make moonshine in Kansas??? Run with it!

Uh, it just came to me, so maybe it's an original. Thanks.

Mike, you hadn't heard of it because I made it up!!! LOL. Yes, good moonshine is incredibly good. One has to be careful, though, because some lace it with kerosene! You have a good day, too, my friend.

Indeed they are, Suzanne. Sometimes there is more truth than fiction in them, too. The old-time mountaineers are very wise folks.
